Nobody has answered my concern. Please tell us how long is the validity of the FBI Certs from there issue date.

I remember Chigirl got a similar letter (our group calls it Initial Assessment Letter) about 3-4 months ago. Even if we receive this letter there is no clarity when we will see the PPR. Hopefully it wont take 3-4 months from here.

Lights, did u get any letter like the one Joe got? They dint send me anything like it yet.

My file has been transfered to Detroit and am being asked for proof of funds.

I do not have a great average in my BOA account. However, I have managed to transfer the funds from friends and relatives. Now, if I take a statement, it shows that I have transfered the funds. Would it make sense to send this statement?

Also wanted to know how important is it to prove the funds? Also, has anyone been rejected due to lack of funds?

3-4 months is the current trend based on trackkit before they send out ppr,i maybe wrong. I hope they speed things up.

I think you are doing the correct thing. Send them the copies of the previously sent FBI records. At the same time you apply for the new FBI. Write CIC explaininig that you already sent the FBI twice and now you are re-applied.

Things will be fine my friend.

The Seattles office requested the FBI for me as well stating my certs were dated FEB 2010 and wanted a new set now. I dont know how long it would take, my medicals expire end of July. Hoping I get the FBI back in 6 weeks. This ride of Canadian Immig looks an endless one with lots of roadblocks. I applied to CIC in March 2010 hence FBI Certs are dated FEB 2010, idiots took more than 2 years to get here and still playing hardball, punks.

It has been a long slog for the most, for me it has been plan , re- plan and re-plan as was expecting the PR to come thru in October or November 2010.

I did receive the Intial assessment letter on the 5th of this month and the want FBI certs within 90 days or the app will get refused is what they said. As you know I sent them two sets of FBI certs ( dated March 2010 and Dec 2010 ) in Feb and they were received by the CIC in the middle of february.I am just going to humour them and request a third set and hope and pray it gets to me within the 90 days and then hope and pray the big wheels of CIC move before my medicals expire in Sept...

I think the idiots sitting in the CIC offices do not have enough gray cells ..want to type a lot more expletives but will not for the sake of forum decency ...they are not even considering my Dec 2010 fbi certs and want a fresh set within 90 days . It is pathetic to say the least ...anywaz in the same situation as you are .Lets keep each other posted on mutal developments in the forum.
