Oops ! I too have a gmail id Now if they are sending PPR by regular mails for those who have Gmail, I am to loose the time in transit.

There is no consistency in the way CIC does things.

First, they gave zorro only 30 days to have his pp stamped, while they gave L.B. 60 days. Second, they sent his ppr by regular mail, while L.B' was sent thru email. This makes things difficult for those of us who are outside the country to get our passports on time - all this time lost in transit.

It is really frustrating. I never bothered about checking the status of my application with the assurance of processing time published by CIC. Now that thhe time line has passed it is making me nervous. Cannot even plan on moving the stuff etc...

You should probably send them an email; just in case they have sent your ppr. Your timeline is very close.

I have sent my passports to LA office and now its 17 working days and i am still waiting , PPR email i recieved says it will take 15 days to return the passport. , i sent an email to LA office for status update and recieved following email

"Dear Client ,

We have received your passports, photos and landing fees. Your file is queue for review by the immigration officers. We would not be able to finalize your case on the usual 15 days we stated on our letter. After review, your passports and immigration documents will be returned to you via pre-paid envelope if you have provided one, or by certified or registered mail.
Please advise if you need your passports(s) and we will return them to you. You can resubmit your passport(s) after 31 March 2011.

We landed in Alberta a few months ago. There was an issue with our photos. It is now resloved. Our PR cards have finally arrived. I have a few questions for senior forum members:

(1) As this was going on, I have not sent any PN Status update. Now or before. For the PN Status Update, do I need to explain in a cover letter why there was a delay in sending the PN Status update to them?

(2) Are we in in trouble with AINP that it has been so long? Or is this a formality?

(3) Has anyone been contacted by AINP about PN Status update or any infomartion they sent in on this update? The nomination letter says we need to keep them informed. But, I want to make sure that we are not bringing upon ourselves any more questions from them.

Upon careful examination of the letter they stated that they are done with my initial assessment and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview.,No further documents needed, . So i guess buffalo is keeping my file because they have not transferred it to different VO. and i already paid my RPRF during time of medicals. So check for your mail you might as well receive one from them the letter is postmarked Feb21 and it reached thru my lawyer march3 snail mail is getting slower by the year.

@lettuce keep an eye on that mailbox.

Grey Goose - I received the exact same email from 'Good Afternnon to Immigration' and the same spelling of 'queue' on Feb 10 and nothing yet...

Okay I cannot believe this how come the email be 100% same for both of us...exact wordings.. WOW.. CHeck my timelines... I am not waiting for it anymore..Gave up - It will come when it wants to come... Our plans are already messed up...
