Avoid using negative explanations. Rather than that - you can say: "In addition to the ref. letter submitted for ABC Ltd, I wish to submit a letter further detailing the Duties and Responsibilities held in XYZ Ltd for the period of so .. and so .. "

I have a question. I am using the experience from my previous job for the FSW.

My ex-employer only gave me a letter which is the standard format given by the company to everyone.
It shows my tenure with the company, designation, department, salary, and main function handled (which is System Admin)...
They didn't agree to put the hours worked and my responsibilities...

So, I'm trying to get the ex-MD to give me a letter with my roles and responsibilities, along with a copy of his old business card.
Do you think that will be enough proof? Is there anything else I can do?

When you say 'Old Business Card' does it have the contact number on which you can presently reach him? If yes, then that should be fine.

Following is the summary of my responsibilities between 2003 & 2010, when I worked as a Network Engineer.


• Operational and Facility Management Support for several locations across the globe interconnected thru MPLS, IPLC, ISDN, and VPN.
• Troubleshooting/monitoring of International and national links coordinating with ISPs and monitoring of the same.
• Configuring & troubleshooting S2S, GRE, SSL, Anyconnect, DMVPN & CVO tunnels.
• Configuring & troubleshooting OSPF/EIGRP/BGP for Corporate/Client Intranet/Internet.
• Sniffing traffic for analysis & troubleshooting variety of problems.
• Create and execute operational procedures and audits in compliance with company regulations.
• Design & document networks for client's offshore premises (Offshore Development Center).
• Configuration & administration of Cisco/Checkpoint/Juniper firewalls.
• End-to-end delivery of the network setup for various clients in the stipulated time.
• Review requests and work with direct reports to schedule and complete projects.
• Establish operational objectives and work plans
• Mentor and supervise project managers and administrators.
• Manage and coordinate third-party vendors. Bridge gaps between internal staff and external parties.
• Coordinated project life cycle by setting deadlines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.

Let me tell you that although your duties are into Core Networking, this may not fit the bill when it comes to matching the Duties with NOC 2281 as the duties you have listed are much more complex than the basic set of tasks outlined by HRSDC for NOC 2281.

All you need is to qualify for FSW. Therefore I would suggest you water it down a bit to where your duties at-least 'resemble' the ones listed under 2281 when read by a lay man and not a CCIE.
