Yes.. Very true. I applied in jan too and still waiting for passport it's gona be 4 months now. I don't believe it really takes This long to finish each case. It's quite a shame we are made to waste one whole year of our first year of marriage in seperation.

You are right change in ecas status shows they are working on your file. Hope for the best...

I think just 3 of us waitin now....hope we get it really soon....my ecas chged to medical recd on sunday....so now im more positive ;D

I just want to ask a question.


Is it ok for your E-cas to get no change from the 1st day off sending the file and receiving by NDVO. I only have 1 update that Application received on so and so date. Nothing has been posted after this?


Is this normal or should I do anything.

It's same in my case too, magessss. No update other than application received.
I've tried sending case specific enquiry (no reply) and also applied GCMS notes (haven't received it) but of no use.
Like some one stated, it's really a big loss missing the precious first few months (more than a year for a few) soon after the marriage.
Don't those folks working at VO care about this? They should!

Yea, I can see that every one is waiting for the visa. I cannot understand why the wait. If the process is taking so long than what will happens to our love ones, what will they feel. I know if they love us then they will understand but, they are also human's not ANIMALS who can go anywhere. I think it is the locals that are screwing the work. I happens to know the way they work in a office as the file comes and they just sit and do nothing until some high level officer pushes them to do work or "IF WE BRIBE THEM TO DO OUR WORK".


This is so stupid, one of my friend got so frustrated of this waiting he just divorced the spouse and suicide because he doesn't want to hurt the feelings oh the spouse and he was feeling guilty for letting the person wait.

If things continue like these god knows what will happens.

Yes, it is sad but true. They waited for 11 months.

Then went to the MP and was answered that the process is still going on and that they have to wait for some time. They didn't said for how long as they were getting no answer on the wait and also told that the case varies.

My question was why they needed to wait it was a simple marriage and they loved each other yet they have to live separately because of the visa. They know that it will take time and did wait for it, but when they heard they need to wait longer they gave up.

This happens 2 years ago. They applied on 2011 Feb

I hope v get to hear sumthin really soon bcz i dnt think these NDVO ppl are least bothered abt wht v all r goin thru...A frnd of mine had some student visa issue to be resolved so she ws called by the NDVO for the same...n I ws really curious to ask her abt the way the NDVO ppl are wrkin fr the visas n to my surprise she told me ki "JITNE B LOG THE VAHA SB VEHLE BAITH K TASH(PLAYING CARDS) khel rahe the"

I dnt knw wht is goin on...She ws there in the NDVO fr almost 2-3 hrs n those lazy bumps continued to play rather than wrkin there.I m so upset on hearing this..no wonder there are so many of us still waiting for our ppr n pp with the visas..!! ??? ??? ??? ???

That is the main issue, they are least bothered about people who are waiting. That 's is why we can see only few PPR's and DM's all the time.

THis is sooo sad!!! SOmetimes I feel like I can relate. Im such a total mess right now! I hate this waiting game, its not fair at all. I have decided , once they call my husband for an interview, I will go there and stay there till his passport comes.

Honestly saying I almost gave up on this waiting period myself. I was like the heck with this stupidness I was planning to sell and leave everything and go back to India and start all fresh with my wife. Then my wife explained me to relax and wait for the visa to come, she understand the feeling about waiting and I appreciate her.

@MAGESSSS::I can relate to wht u r sayin as my husband ws too upset due to ths...He had almost made up his mind to leave everythin n cum bak to india so tht v cn settle down here..Bt his case is even worse..He has his mom n dad n his family there in canada..he feels he is stuck..he cn neither just walk off all his responsibilities n say a plain n simple bye to his parents n cum here to me..n frankly i wud never support him fr tht too..Ths is the worst tym of my life i cn say ths...even though ours ws an arranged marriage bt ths waiting time has almost takin away every bit of excitement n that "spark" frm our relationship..I really wish we all get our pp bak..
