well said Desi-girl...I would like to add that there are people who applied in early 2012 still waiting for their visas and people who applied in Jan 2013 still waiting for interview date. So, keep your hopes alive and you will get your turn to write 'OMG's.

Desi-girl if you keep writing serious stuff then I can't write silly stuff anymore and no one will be reading them even if I write...so once in a while be serious but if you keep it up then I will have to write to Myrah asking her to do something about this before she leaves for Canada to shove snow off in front of her house...

lol...we want them to suffer and do their jobs but not kill them (they have our files and if the physical files are locked in safety box in the basement they have the key and the electronic files are stored in their computers and password protected)....so I will leave out batons and pitchforks for now but add home theater (with non stop serials to watch with mega volume) and listen to bad hinglish rap songs non stop but if they continue not doing their jobs then batons, pitchforks, cutting pliers (to remove nails), mega zoom box (blast chinese/japanese opera in their ears) will be back

they started to process some May applications (NDVO does not do 'first come, first served' basis..it is a foreign concept to them) so they have done some early May (6,7,8) to mid May applications (May 15th)and jumped to May 31st...check Myrah's spreadsheet for more details..honestly nobody knows how NDVO process applications and so it is hard to exactly pinpoint how long each step of the process takes..hang in there and you will hear from them soon..as you can see my timeline, I am still waiting for passport request...

I was thinking more like using the batons and pitchforks to intimidate and threaten them.. Then go on to use the other items in my list..
But mega speakers home theatre system with max volume will really wake them up from their sweet dreams first. Then we can intimidate them.

No use taking all these things and find them dozing off to la la land... Not much threatening we can do then to make them get to work faster.

So you applied to CIC Mississauga in April? Can you give exact dates please?
As waiting 2 exhale said,we can't really be sure how NDVO works. But you may be hearing some news by the end of this month or early January.

i got pr in 2010 but stayed in canada for only 9 months ,having no work experience over there. i got marriage in july and in jan i ma coming back to canada .
can i apply for my husband as spouse visa in india itself.
or i can aaply from canada when i go there.

you have to complete 2 out of 5 years to keep your PR alive...have you done that? I think you can go back now and apply...as far as income requirements you don't need a job but you should show that you have enough money to support your spouse..you can't apply from here since you have to show that you have some thing there to make you go back (like a job, home that you bought etc) and not settle in India for good

my file was transferred to NDVO on April, 2013, status changed to in process on November 24, 2013, now how long do they might take to ask for PPR(passport request) and medical is expiring on end of January. dose anyone here in this forum have experienced this kind of situation. if please can you share.

Did you applied for GCMS notes or MP inquiry before?? if no then go for it first coz when NDVO will call that is not sure and you already in process so you must have to receive a call regarding PPR. make sure you keep your phone with you for always and don't miss any call...

Go for MP inquiry quick response and also GCMS notes....

It's better to apply from canada and once sponsorship is approved you can come back to india but better stay for a month not more then that...

Yeah, my file was transfered on July 3rd, month after i sent the application to Missassauga. Strange part is NDVO replied my MP that they received my file on July 15th. That NDVO lady must be smoking pot. Funny thing is, same person responded back as this was my second MP inquiry.

hahah are u serious I got the same message from my mp thru ndvo that my file was recd only on 15th july though I got my sa on 15th may and transfer on 19th june.....and I got ip...on 25th nov.......so don't worry abt it !! they really don't know what they are talking abt ...even I feel they all are smoking pot
