Hi frotenacs,

There are people inthe list who have submitted medicals along with their application.
I can suggest you 2 things as I am still waiting for medicals:

1. If u r applying through vfs, then talk to a representative there.
2. You can contact any one of the approved panel of physicians by CIC and fix an appointment and complete the medicals. Attach the reciept that they give as part of your application. The hospital sends ur reports online.

Finally do apply as soon as possible. Currently its taking 4 months to get medicals/visa.

Yes, I checked the google doc and saw a few candidates submitting their medicals before hand. I was just curious to know how did they do it.

I will enquire with VFS. But I am still thinking of making a trip to Delhi and apply in-person. Do you think if I apply in-person (at the counter) will make my processing bit faster?

Please note that- my PR application is nearing the end, I am expecting my PPR from Ottawa any time. Exactly a month back I did my medicals in India, and I have the receipt from the panel physician who conducted my medicals. Do you think I can use this receipt as my medicals for a TWP? I know my PR application and TWP application should be treated as independent of each other.

Hi Fortenacs,
I maybe not be able to address ur queries regarding PPR. However, in my view, applying in person or through VFS may not make a difference. But I have seen for people who applied online, the file gets processed quickly until the medical request beyond which they are still waiting for the final decision and that goes as per date queue (from the trend so far).

It will be helpful if someone who has gone through the process of PR and TWP answers your queries.

Towards mid of this week, we will see lot of updates regarding PAFSO strike as the PSLRB hearing is on Aug 21st . Regarding our application processing, Student Visa's should be processed by now, so they might focus on work permits !!
