I received my GCMS notes today right after 30 days of my request.

What i saw is that my file is not even yet opened even though there was a due date to assign the file to some one on March 31, it is still unassigned. This could be an indication that they are busy and overloaded with other applications that are pushing them out of the regular timeframe.

thats a long time and they haven't even assigned the file!. i just ordered my GCMS notes, doesnt look like they will be even close to my file.

Thank you so much for the update regarding your GCMS notes. I am sorry to learn that they have not yet started working on your file.
Taking your GCMS notes into consideration, our application which was forwarded to Nairobi in the end of february seems to be miles away from being assigned to a Visa Officer.

Bono1 please updates us when you get your GCMS notes. I will post my full timeline once I have enough posts.

We applied in the end of January and our application was transfered to Nairobi in the end of february.

My wife lived in England for more that six months and we know for sure the visa officer in Nairobi will need a police certificate from England. We did not include this certifate in our application as we didn't have it. Now that we have the certificate and our application is not in process yet as per e-case, what is the best way to submit it to the Nairobi Visa Office, Can we send it right now so it can be included in our application or should we wait till they request for it?

What is the best way of sending documents to the Visa Office in Nairobi from Canada, can we send by UPS? We see many people tend to use DHL and we know that UPS is not available in some parts of Kenya.

I would suggest you to send an email to general inquiries of Nairobi Visa Office and they will recommend you the best way.

It is the best to send it right now as waiting may delay your processing, DHL is the best choice. When sending the document write your UCI and File application no on the top plus Sponsor and Applicant Full names just to help them locate your file.

Hello im new to this conversation board.

My husband is from Mauritius and im a Canadian citizen, Nriobi receive our application Oct 7, 2013. one month later they received the medical reports then December 6 they requested for us to send his passport. So everything has been sent and all fees have been paid. they have been holding his passport for almost six month now. Does anyone know how long they can hold the passport for

Hello Moll,

Welcome to the forum. First of all I am glad to hear that Nairobi has already requested your passport. If you read some of the previous posts in this forum you will see that Nairobi has been quiet for long time now and most of the applicants from september last year(2013) have heard nothing from Nairobi. So you seem to be lucky
If you want to find what is going on with your application please do one of the of following;

1. Order your GCMS notes
2. Contact your MP
3. Send a case specific enquiry

I really had some delays in my application, the first interview (sept 2013) was cancelled after terrorists attack in Westgate Nairobi in September 2013 and this was so frustrating waiting for another interview to be fixed, then i had to wait for another date which came in Feb 2014 which i passed. Then my medical had expired & the visa officer requested london to extend but again london requested an extra chest x-ray which i did and submitted on time and all this delayed the whole process.
Otherwise, patience pays now we are almost done because my passport was submitted in Feb and in March they requested me to pay a pre-paid DHL coupon which i did. Now am waiting for DHL to deliver my passport with visa and copr.

So eagerly waiting now !!
