Still waiting for the PGR, once it's ready my wife is heading to Mex city to get the one from the SSP and then drop it off at the embassy, so hopefully next week.

Going to PGR tomorrow i just got the letter 2 days ago, and waiting for the FBI return back is just 2 weeks since we sent to FBI papers so waiting waiting but reading all about everybody makes me gets stronger and more excited more real about all

Hey Im going Mexico City October 24 to 27 to get the SSP im wondering should i get my medical exam again??? i took it april 16 2012 and will be expired next year same date what about i dont get aprove before? should i take it? or its exactly 6 months after we send the polices certificates??

I was going to ask that, would be fine if by october i can drop off the PGR y SSP certificates directly to the embassy? or shopuld be all together with the FBI too?

I wouldn't get the medical exam, if that's the only thing stopping them from approving the application CIC can extend it this just came into place recently. My wife got hers in February and we're not getting another one, we're hoping the process will be done by then, the embassy seems to be moving along fairly quickly. How long were u given to get the checks? was it 60 days? Im paranoid about going over the date if you are I suggest sending in a request for an extension. I'm not sure what happens if you don't get in the documents within the timeframe they give, does anyone know? Do they really deny the app?

I need help!!! When we sent my MIL the package to do the SSP and PGR, we also sent her a cover sheet via email to attach and bring to the embassy and I wrote attached is the SSP and some additional documents. So when the PGR was done we also told her to print out that sheet to attach so they know my spouses file and application number. Last night my spouse and I were talking and we realized that she may not have changed the original document to now say that this was the PGR instead of the SSP. We are going to call her in a bit to find out if she did or not, but if she didnt, do you think I should email the embassy and let them know, that the document we sent was the PGR, or should we just leave it alone.

Ugh, such a dumb mistake on our end.

They'll figure it out, don't worry! They might not even read the cover letter, just file the document as they are very familiar with them. The important thing is your file number is on the letter. But you could still email because it will make you feel better. =)

Thats what we were thinking, they would look at what we attached rather then the cover letter.. but you never know! I just dont want it to cause delays in our application since we are (hopefully) close to the end.

im going back on sept 22 i believe.
but i havent booked the flight yet. because my husband just finished a case with the employment standard board, for his previous employer, and the guy owes him money. so the officer was going to send the cheque to mexico via regular mail and we told her noooooo please dont!!!. than she said the only other option was if i flew from alberta to vancouver and picked it up at her office which is ridiculous. so my husband begged her and finally she agreed to mail it to me in alberta, but she never told me if it would be via regular mail or dhl or something and I had to show id and sign for it (because of silly procedures) so i emailed her asking, still waiting for a response. because if i have to be here to sign for it than i wont be able to leave on the 22
so who knows really lol.

plus we have the refugee papers coming hopefully in the next week or 2.
we faxed the request and it was received so i hope they are doing it and didnt just put it at the bottom of a pile or something. :-\
