Hi Pongpong, do we can book landing at CIC local office or you have taken appointment for landing at Carway border from CIC Edmonton?

U can make an appointment at the local CIC office but it will take about 4-6 weeks to get an appointment. Mine they schedule me on Dec. 11 but i decided to cross the border. In crossing the border, u dont need an appointment, just go there right away and u will become a PR after. In my case i got my passport with visa and the COPR last Nov. 8 and my schedule for landing at the local CIC is on dec. 11. I couldn't wait for this, that's why i crossed the border.

and i think you have to be legal (i.e. with valid work permit, PGWP) in order to land inside Canada. ^_^

Time is not constraint for me as I have my work permit valid till Mar 2013 and I already sent my Passport for visa extension

Can you let me know, how you have booked your appointment with CIC to land itself at their local office?

Also do the visa they give us carry some dates, which state that before this date you need to do landing ..

Hi TRT17 my online status didn't change on the day i got the medical via email and it took 4 days for them to update the online status.

it should say everything in your MR - Read it carefully and talk to the dr's office you choose to go to. They are the experts and should be able to tell you specifically what to bring.
I recall I needed my passport, two passport photos (my Dr actually produced mine for $10), the forms CIC send you, and cash - for my particular doctor was about $150 for the Dr, and $40 for the xray but they should tell you when you book. It's a good idea to check what form of payment your dr will take, as i've seen a few people on the forum need cash and not expect it.

Thanks anipear, i call the Dr. office and she told me to bring 4 passport photo, my passport, CIC form from the email and $175 in cash.

Hi ak1737 the day i got my medical request i check my online status and it still shown application received and today it change to in progress it took around 3 or 4 days.

This is the weirdest process ever. Mine changed to In-Process last week and it is saying "In process since October 31" yet until now I didn't receive medicals....

Hi,
I also received my passports with visa stamped yesterday....
But there is one typo mistake in my spouse COPR letter that is they wrote her full name in family name column and nothing in given name column....spellings are all correct only column is wrong....same they did with her medical form before but we used that form and everything goes good....so is tehre any need to change it or its ok....Comment please..

I haven't send my passport to Detroit for visa stamping yet, coz I still have to add my child as my non-accompanying dependant.
