I rcvd history update while im stilll working before, i rcvd the update 7 months after I mailed my application but maybe because my mailing address was been changed but its weird coz I rcvd twice but after everything went fine.

just an update
got my letter today for my owp and landing interview. it will be on wednesday october 19, 2011. i got the same letter that i need to ensure that my sponsor attends the interview with me but i called the cic and she said that i don't need to bring sponsor for LIC. just letting you guys know just incase you received the same letter as mine.

Congratulations, Sarah! You are really close to the very end. Good for you!

I haven't received any letter about my landing interview. They say, Alberta is slow. I got a letter on Friday saying that I am eligible for the PR under the LIC program. They say they will inform me about the date of the interview. So, I am waiting for it. I hope I don't have to wait for it too long. You are in British Columbia, right?

thanks oksy yes i'm in bc. yes it's a bit too quick (not that I'm complaining about it) they said that the decision was made October 4th that's like 15months since i sent my application. got two letters today. only two weeks to wait for my PR interview from the date the decision was made. i'm just relieved.

Wow.. Sarah, too quick @ BC eh! Unlike really here in Alberta.. Got 2 letters too, OWP and the PR status.. But anyways, thank goodness, Open work permit is here and just waiting for confirmation of being permanent resident.. Got job right away the day I received my OWP.. Hope that luck goes on the way for all of us..

good for u len30. do you mind if i ask you what job? i'm looking. i'm having a hard time telling my boss. esp she's leaving to US this oct and nov. i'm looking after those kids for 3yrs. too difficult for both of us.

Hi to all,i just want to join this forum ,.coz reading your post gives hope to everyone who are still waiting for there WOP/PR... I just wanted to share my experienced with my E-Cas last august 2011... I sent my application for OWP/PR last year Oct. they received my application Oct.15,2010,last July 2011 I received the updated client form and sent back to them immidiately,..and late August whenI was checking my application on the internet (e-cas). It stated that " We returned your application with a letter on August 24,2011. You may re-apply or re submit your application when the information requested is provided " I contacted the immigration CIC immediately to ask an explanation. They did not know why that was on the internet and said they would contact Immigration OFFICE for an explanation....and they told me to wait for the letter/application in the mail. A letter/ application never came in the mail so I contacted again the CIC..and they stated " the immigration office had a response stating paragraph above was in ERROR and that my application was being processed normally... As you can imagine I was so upset to think my application was not successful,and I've been waiting for 12 months now...So,if someone had experienced same as mine contact the CIC agent immidiately....Im just so lucky that was all an error or else I'm gonna start on the application all over again....

the story is shocking! I'm glad the girls had enough courage to bring it to public. As the reporter said they would continue to follow the battle LICs with their former employers and ask the immigration minister a few questions. I'm glad the issue is comong up! More and more people should know what's going on with LICs. We need public resonance!
