are the 2011 lics who got owp are all single applicants or some are married. my cousin is oct 2011 but married. we are wondering if she'll be getting hers sometime soon. tnx

none of any april married applicants receive owp yet? it's 18 mos now. sweetchad, did u try calling cic. maybe they mailed yours already.. hopefully

@lana0303 they will refund ur money. they will send u a cheque. that's what they did to my wp application but same employer. they didnt process it bcoz they said i'm on implied status. cic gave my money back

to those who will apply new work permit (new employer) no need for restoration if you sent pr lcp application already.just clarified this one with lawyer from westcoast.

@sweetchad and shelleon you guys were been patient on this situation.just remember not to lose hope. i don't know how much tears i cried too. so pls be strong.. it can be done and it will be done!

this situation is just so brutal..why do they make things to difficult when everything is just in front of their noses. we completed all requirements,all they have to do is verify it.why having dependents is like a crime now. making people suffer with x amount of time! this really blows my mind!

what is the connection of dependent's lc2 kit to applicant's owp. would it make more sense to give owp?then carry on from there? maybe lesser calls and complaints

i know.. on my pr interview today they got my civil stat wrong. and explained to them i sent update already. and she checked. and even her said.. they always make mistake. can't they put somebody that competent enough

i agree. they really need to give their heads a shake.. i'm worried with my brother. he is coming here too. i do not want to see him waiting for just owp for 24 mos. this is just ridiculous. and what if my brother wants to get married in the phils.. i'll say, hold! don't! because it will cause...

i had applied 5 times for work permit. 2 for different employer 3 for the same but never heard about that case. the only time i got refuse is when they sent me a letter that i do not have to apply for wp because my pr application is on process.. but that's it. i never thought they will require...

i really don't understand how difficult for them to give open work permit for those married applicants? they should be in accordance to your eligibility of 24mos. what is having dependents have to do with it.. and can't they be nice enough to explain it to us.. anyhow, i had my interview today...
