@ Sunkissed814 congrats...............i did my medical this week i got a little note saying i must make two copy of the receipts send one to my wife and Kingston my question is how soon should i send it to Kingston like how i don't send my application to my wife yet?

Do you know? Did the doctors office say they submitted your medical results electronically to the Kingston Canadaian a Embassy?

If the doctor sent in an eMedical (An online tool that doctors approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to do medical exams use to record and send Immigration Medical Exam (IME) results to CIC. It is more accurate, convenient and faster than paper-based processing.), they would have given you a receipt with an IME number in it. In this case all you need to do is send the original receipt to your wife to be added to your application package.

If you do not know if it was or wasn't sent electronically I would just check with the doctors office. The one we used in Kingston did it that way. It made it really easy. I saw online that the Kingston embassy had received our medical even before they started processing my husband's application! Lol

Hello everyone! Happy to read about all the progress and good news so far.

I was looking at the spreadsheet. It's a wonderful way to see what is going on and how long the processes are taking. I was disappointed to see the online processing time for family class from Jamaica is 25 months! However, it seems alot of people are getting through faster, from what I see here.

Would anyone say the process is the same or slower when there are dependent children in addition to the principal applicant?

I've been a little down and not doing well emotionally lately, and today my hubby surprised me with tickets to go down there to see him. That definitely helps with the waiting process! Leaving May 18th. You never know, maybe we will hear something by then and will buy another ticket for him to come home with me and the kids!

My hubby wasnt given and IME number, but they said they would send it to the embassy. Didnt say electronically, but he does have a sheet with a UMI bar code at the top. He mailed that in even tho the doctor said he'd send it in too, but that was a month ago or so and still doesnt show online that they have received it.

Then I guess you should follow the doctors instructions. We sent the original in with our application to CIC Mississauga and we never sent a copy to Kingston.

Ecas isn't always updated with Medicals Received. There have been many on here that it didn't show on ecas and KIN still had their Medicals. You can always email KIN to see if they do have them or order your GCMS notes.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

Oh wow, thats great information, thank you. We have only been in the process since December so I'll wait a little while to do this, but I will definitely do it if it gets to the 1 year mark. Thank you so much

so now that they lost my first application in missisauga now I am finally finished another application too send in after a week long filling out papers and my husband and I gathering all the info again thank god a lot of things were saved and I still have the receipt that i paid my fees. but he had too do his police check over .. also thank god he is on an exclusion order because I would be so stressed if he could come back soon and that happened.. This time I made sure I saved all the documentation on a hard drive.. this process is so stressful.. but on a plus note this application is far more better then the first one and pre read by a person that is great with paper work and had too go through immigration themselves..
so heres too hoping this application gets approved fast.. they already have on record that they cant find the first one and proof someone signed and member of parliament is involved so Im praying for a faster approval...

im glad you are back on track and things will be getting done for you, thats great. yes, things always happen for a reason, even if we dont know why it happens. I have also been going thru the sleepless nights, the crying, the frustration, but hopefully we will get thru sooner than later...

This is a lot of stress to handle.. I wish the processing was a quick one cause months without your husband/wife is so nerve racking. I hope we all get through at a fast pace but the way my lucks been going I don't have real high hopes for me
