It is so funny how the process is not standardized between different embassy's. Kingston called us both times to request the passport and to advice when the permanent resident visa was approved (passport being sent back).

We sent originals of all our cards, letters, etc. I kept photocopies of all the originals for myself. We had everything that was original returned to us, photos, cards etc.

Hi Roxie, We just got ours back. They base it on when your medical expires. So we got 5 month PR visa, as the medical expires on Sept 15. So when you are waiting for your PR visa you can estimate how much time you will before it expires bases loosely on the expiry date of your medical.
