just want to share my timeline PR for Live-in caregiver=)

Hi! Just to share with you my experience...
I applied for my OPEN WORK PERMIT & PRV April 2010 & it started processing July 9,2010. My Work Permit expired NOV.2,2010. I called CIC & asked if I can still renew my Work Permit since I have plans of having a vacation but they said that it's not needed as long as I will come back before the expiration of my Work Permit & I have a valid Re-entry Visa.
I applied for Multiple Entry Visa last August 8,2010 at Buffalo & got it back 1st wk of Sept. w/c is valid only up to OCT.31, 2010, they based the validity of my re-entry VISA to the expiration of my WORK PERMIT. So, I went back to Manila for a vacation, Sept.12 & came back in Toronto October 27, 2010.
I've been on-hold at the Immigration in the Pearson Airport because there are only 6days left for the validity of my Work permit, though I told the 1st Officer that I already have submitted my application for OWP & PRV last April but still asked me to be screened by another Immigration Officer. I got so nervous but instead of worrying, I prayed that whatever would happen it's gonna be the will of God! Since I have heard that there are cases where the Immigration Officers never allow the returning LIVE-IN CG (from vacation at his/her home country) to ENTER CANADA again.
Then the 2nd Immigration Officer checked my status on the Computer, he told me that I am close to the finish line & confirmed that my application is still in process so he said: "OKAY, I WILL LET YOU IN, WELCOME BACK TO CANADA. ENJOY!"
I really praise & thank God for His goodness! I am truly blessed!!!
I hope it will in a way help you,guys! It's always really not according to our will but His will be done! I believe that God let me experienced it to be able to share to you how amazing & merciful He is Smiley

@syndeywhite-ang galing naman para sayo talaga ang canada, ang tagal naman ngayon ng procesing natin noh ?sna may makausap tayo para mapabilis ang application natin noh? thanks and god bless sa atin lahat.

btw, uuwi pala ako sa janauary pero ang work permit expires pa ng jan 2012 tapos ang reentry visa ko sa june 2011 pa sna maging ok ang lahat god bless sa atin!

I don't think you will have a problem for re-entry kasi 2012 pa naman expiration ng WP mo, basta bring along with you a Letter from your Employer allowing you to have a vacation & expecting you come back on the day of your Arrival here in Canada then you'll be worry-free!

Jan. 30,2009 Mail-in complete PR Application + Open permit
Feb. 2,2009 Received in CIC
Feb.19,2009 Started processing Application
July 20,2009 Received Open permit and medical instructions

I submitted mine by Feb. 9, 2010 received Feb. 12, 2010 they started processing April 27, 2010 till now waiting ako sa open permit. Congrats kabayan at least pwede kana work anywhere.

hi russell, I almost mail my papers today but some of my friends told me not to mail yet, antayin ko pa din muna pag balik ko after my vacation. they said, much better to be here while nka process nang papers coz maybe the immigration could call you..hahay ewan ko ba, sa nov30 ang alis ko then babalik by Jan 3. subrang tagal na nun to pass my application.

@tinkermarie naku,hindi ba sayang yung 2months halos? kung ako sa iyo, i-file mo na now kasi hindi naman nila agad nabubuksan, it will take 2-3months bago nila simulan i-process esp.nowadays. Atleast habang nasa Pinas ka,umaandar na din yung application mo,di ba? But it is still up to you...Good luck!

@ sidneywhite, yan nga sana ang gusto ko but most of them adviced not to kc daw baka tawagan ako nang immgration at wala daw ako...alam mo naguguluhan ako, un din iniisip ko kc 2-3months nila bubuksan ang application ko...ang sabi nila baka daw hindi ako mabigyan nang re-entry visa dun while on process ang papers ko....they didn't get it na while andun ako sa pinas hindi pa nabubuksan papel ko, right?

naku, dapat dito pa lang sa Canada kumuha ka na ng re-entry VISA! wag ka aalis ng walang TRV ha. Kapag meron kang TRV, WORK PERMIT & LETTER FROM YOUR EMPLOYER, wla ka na magiging problema nyan. Basta have faith in GOD!
Follow your heart, ganyan din ako before gulong-gulo ako at marami din ako tinatanungan pero pinaubaya ko lahat kay GOD! If I will be granted a RE-ENTRY VISA, it means God wants me to go home kahit na naka-process application ko. Seek God's guidance & enlightenment sa kanya tayo dapat mag-depend.
While you're in MANILA, hindi pa nila nabubuksan yung application mo, I doubt it kasi since 2009 naman, 2-3months upon mailing bago nila simulan i-process eh

valid pa ang TRV ko, will expired on april 2011, ang probs nga eh andun sa old passport ko kc nag renew ako...ung work permit ko sa october 2011 ma expired.....i will pass it nextweek cguro I have faith in Him, i will just let Him work for me para mawala ung mga worries ko...thanks for the kind words:0
