Hi all, Is it alright if someone else, not the PA sends and receives passports after the PA receives the PPR email?

We're leaving the US and going to India soon and would rather still send our passports to Ottawa (through a friend in Canada) than change our VO to NDVO.

I don't think there's an issue with that since your physical presence isn't required for the passport to get stamped. You just need to DHL/FedEx your passport to the VO. I'm not completely sure tho.

Seriously??? Why would you even want to do that?

a. You HAVE to inform CIC of address change. They have mentioned it clearly
b. It is ILLEGAL to send your Indian passport out of India via mail .. I know we do it here from USA to Canada but US government could care less. But imagine if someone scans your international package and finds your Indian passport.

Follow the process ... do not circumvent it.

Nothing yet ! It's gonna be a month!!!

No sadly not even a ghost update (haven’t gotten any) but I still have my hopes up, especially after a couple Oct 15th IP2 applications got the PPR yesterday although it’s frustrating to sort by last BG check update date and see a lot of Oct 17-20th already green (PPR) on immitracker, but almost none of Oct 15/16th, and I know comparisons are odd and unhealthy but can’t completely avoid it.

No man...nothing new from my side...am already going insane...

Damn!! This is so frustrating and depressing!

"IRCC has not yet released your GCMS notes. Your request for GCMS notes was successfully filed on October 12, 2018. The processing of your request commenced on October 15, 2018, since October 13 and 14 were a weekend. The 30 days statutory time frame within which IRCC has to release your GCMS notes expires tomorrow, i.e. November 14, 2018. We anticipate that your GCMS notes will be released within this week"

It's not stuck. I had ordered my notes on Oct 12th as well and received them few minutes ago. You should get yours soon.

Already went through it as there wasn't much of new information than my previous notes. I ordered these with spouse consent so that I can check and make sure there are no flags on her eligibility, fortunately everything looks clean so far..criminality in progress for both of us, security not started yet..it's just a matter of time now..this wait is going to be long it seems..
