No need for 100% right on this news. People will start to question why it's taking over two 2 years to process inland application and why a Canadian spouse are not allowed to work while non-canadian spouse are allowed to work. That's all we need to know.

I send already by mail but canada post dont have a proof or signatures of the reciever. Thats why im worried and try to send it again by email. So frustrating :'( :'( :'(

I am not saying he is not allowed to work. But there is such a thing called accountability to your decisions you make. If I was in his shoes, I would have probably take the same steps. Apply inland so I can be with my pregnant wife. However I would be aware of my decision that applying inland, I have to wait at least AIP to be able to work. It seems to me that he wants to have his cake and eat it too without being accountable to his decision.

He's just asking for the right to work, I think this is the whole aim of the article and/or process files faster.

I don't make judgments at all. I completely understand what the husband is going through and I don't fault him for not be able to work. I mean who doesn't. I just get peeved at those who don't want to take responsibilities in their decisions.

Besides, there is supposedly a possible change in CIC policy that inland applicants can apply for OWP after AOR stage around Jan 15, 2014 (speculation). So the husband can apply to work next month if the policy does go into effect. A policy I agree with here.

Landing interview scheduled for Jan 7, 2015. At Calgary office :'D I'm so happy.

The letter asked to bring an attested copy of my passport (which is expired and has been for a while) does any body know what involves landing on an expired passport?

If you don't know the history CBSA/CIC has my passport from a previous refugee application and I couldn't renew it because my embassy wouldn't without the old one being released. I had documented this and sent all correspondence to CIC prior to DM.

When you CBSA took your passport did you have a copy of it made and 'notarized' by a lawyer? That is pretty much all they are asking for. Either bring the attested copy (notarized copy) or see if CBSA will now release your passport to you since you have a landing letter and date.

When we applied last year, i never included my original option C. It would have taken too long to get from the CRA and while waiting for it, my partners police certificate from japan would expire and we didnt want to submit the app with expired docs.

SO, i finally got around to ordering the option C and it was mailed to me Friday. I sent it to CPC - Mississauga (VIA registered mail) with a note asking them to attach it to my file.

I hope no one screws up and attaches it to the wrong file >.<

I have 2 copies. One attested by CBSA and the other by CIC themselves so I think that should be good. I also spoke to the Calgary office on the phone and they said all documents look good until the expiry of my work permit (Jan 23). I'm still a bit nervous but very very happy that this all will be over soon. It has been a very long wait, I'd like to renew my passport and go see my mum who I haven't seen in 5 years now :')

Based on what you've said, then you should be absolutely fine. Show up for your landing on the date/time specified and don't forget your spouse.

Congratulations for finally becoming a PR. It was a long wait.

I've just checked my e-cas and I was surprised to notice that they changed so fast.
We received the SA on 11th and today it appears on my husband's e-cas Decision Made
and on mine
"Permanent Residence

We received your application for permanent residence on August 28, 2013.

Medical results have been received."

they just added today or yesterday that they received the medical.
I did my medical up-front on august 2013

where do you check your sponsor's e-cas? I tried lots of times and never got logged into it. Perhaps I don't look on the right page?

For me, the sponsor's site was working for months but something happened a for a few weeks ago and now I can't log in with his data.

below that it says "we started processing your application Oct 3 2013"

AOR is the top one right??? whats the Oct 3rd date for then?
