    It takes them well over a month to open mail. If you call the CIC call center they will send an email for you but CIC processing has 3 months to reply TO THEIR OWN CALL CENTER. don't worry they have it they just aren't doing anything

    It basically means nothing. just that they have started the sponsorship assessment. It doesn't mean anything, that they are doing anything, just that they checked a box.

    Ours has a due date in December apparently. so we will see what happens this month if due dates mean anthing. We passed everything in sept I think. So hopefully we are first with some sort of news ;D

    No this is NOT AIP. this is sponsorship approval. AIP comes as a seperate letter saying approved in principle for PR. Oh you have to pay the PR fees to get AIP

    SA=sponsorship approval is not the same as AIP. AIP=approval in principle comes as a separate letter to the person coming to the country. It says you meed the requirements of your Permanent Residency. It does not grant you permanent residency but says everything is in order. Maybe the CIC...
