it seems to me that they are slowing down, probably due to summer holidays. I would believe that's the reason, the kids are out from school parents want to travel. Go figure! I had my AIP but nothing on second stage or landing... got the DM on June 25. Nearly a month and just changed when they added that medicals have been received. Hopefully will get the landing letter soon!! I can't wait.

They also changed my PR application to "In Process" and started processing it July 19th. Hope things will go smoothly this time and will not be too long of a wait. !! months of waiting for Stage 1 was like forever. Good luck everyone. ;D

Your AIP should be coming very soon. With all the threads I have read on here, I was so bored and counted the days in between CIC received their application to the day they get their AIP's. It came out that it was an average of 7-14 days before it will be exactly 11 months. My calculations were right for me. LOL
I was expecting to receive mine July 18th or 19th and I got the sponsorship approved on the 19th. CIC received my app August 29th. So give it this week or before July ends if your application was received Sept 8. They were also delayed 2 days in updating the ECAS.

Just hang in there. Be worried if it's more than 11 months that you are waiting for the 1st stage. Good Luck!

Wow congrates you, the information you posted was very helpful. As I have my landing interview sometime this week, and was wondering what a landing interview is all about. Can`t wait to get this over with such a long process!!

I think if it's a 15min "interview", it might just be formal stuff and getting your paper work ready. Usually landing interviews are just that.

They asked for more proof of our relationship, so I sent joint bank accounts, joint vehicle insurance, joint credit cards etc.
They also looked for my finger prints
They received it all on May 10th 2012 and I haven't heard anything since :'(

This one is amazing, I guess you're the luckiest person here then. As other posts, right now CIC is working on end of August 2011 app. Your app. received on October 11, 2011 and you got AIP on June 2012, even though you had an interview, it's still a dream. Congratulations!

As of your post, you just received AIP (first stage approval) a month ago, the second stage is expected for a couple of months, it's been just 1 month so far, how come it is too long?

Congratulations on your quickie immigration process!!!
I must admit I'm a little jealous :, I sent mine in Oct 4, 2011 and still haven't heard a peep from the CIC. Just curious, where did you send your application?
I sent mine to Vegreville so perhaps its a difference in the processing times of where the application was sent.

Question:
Is the work permit my temporary sin or I must go and obtain one?
What about ohip, can I apply for it now?

you have to get a SIN. that work permit is just for you to show to get a job.
