So I finally landed yesterday, supposedly I should have been cheering and reveling the day but conversely I am very sad and in tears as I have just lost my Grandma. The process is just so long for becoming PR that sometimes we lose our loved ones without ever meeting them again.
Its goes without saying as how fortunate I am to find this forum , it's a bunch of friends in fact a family on its own where one being consoled, motivated and cherished all at the same time. I am so much thankful to God to provide me the opportunity to associate with people who are persistently sharing their valuable opinions experiences and knowledge.
I truly hope and pray that every single person of this forum get DM sooner than he expect and enjoy life to its max.

Unless you have heard something to suggest there was an issue, a DM is a positive decision. The rules of procedural fairness require they inform you if there are issues.

Yes congratulations you are through, you just have to wait for your landing interview.

Hey everyone,

I applied in August 2011, got Aip in Oct 2012. Since then I m waiting for the final decision. Is there anyone else waiting who applied in august 2011? What is the time limit for the second stage ?

Unless you have heard something to suggest there was an issue, a DM is a positive decision. The rules of procedural fairness require they inform you if there are issues.

dont know of any issues .. no interviews .... just waiting ....

Yes , in my case they first sent the email on 18th Feb for DM and my ecas changed to DM two days after. then I got the letter through mail for interview date but that too was dispatched on the same date when I received the email i.e. 18th Feb

I got Dm Feb 18, received letter for landing date in scarborough march 4, landing april 11. Did you payyour RPRF?

Is Feb 18 the date on the DM letter or the date you actually GOT the letter on your mailbox?
I got DM on Feb 5 and still waiting for the Scarborough office to contact me. I paid the RPRF.

Congrats Mike Alpha, your landing date depends on the province. Two months from DM to landing for me in Vancouver, but other provinces are shorter.

Congrats, very happy for you. I really hope they close off the rest of us 2011 very soon too.
