Thanks, but actually I am more worried now, because my passport is on the hand of canada post whose reputation is even worse.

Dude no worries... You will get your PP back safe... It's been just ONE case where things went wrong with passport, which is really unfortunate... but that happens very rarely.. You have crossed the biggest hurdle..!!! Go have a drink or something..!! lol

I do not know how come these Canada post be so irresponsible. I see these guys always listening to music while dropping letter. two years back I myself received once some others passport and returned to that guy back.
the address on that covers was not even matching to street name and number...

Finally, I have received COPR and PP after a wait of almost two months . I am planning to do landing this Sat at Niagra border.
This thread and forum has provided lot of information to me. Thank you all for sharing the information.

Following are my details -
Single applicant
Photo and Bio details requested
Passport received at - CIC 22nd Feb
Sent 3 emails. They replied two times and said passport is with them and in queue
Tracker activated 17th April and received on 18th April
Date stamp on passport visa is 27th Feb
