I am applying for FSW 2014, I am waiting for ECA from WES but afraid of Cap/quota. A Canadian lawyer promised to submit my application now & the ECA later on. Is it possible now in 2014?

nope! they will return your app as incomplete. beware of such promises! i got my app back last year because i didn't turn in an original, but a copy. u can assume what will happen with yours, which doesn't have one at all. better wait for it, and then apply.. it should be in your hands soon.. i waited for mine only 20 days

Do we need ECA report for Education in Canada ?? I know its a silly question.

you dont need ECA for any canadian degree. U need ECA only for foreign degrees.

I dont see any ground of such promise. It is clearly stated in cic that application must accompany ECA. Otherwise cic will return the application as incomplete.

If you look at the past trends, that should give you an idea.

Past trends are not always helpful. As that was the case in CEC. I was expecting AOR in 34-45 days seeing January 2014 trend; I applied on 27 Feb., 2014. Just one month gap. Guess what I received AOR in 17 days.

I am not trying to related any thing but my point is CIC works unpredictably.

In that case brother can u please check the following:

"Reference letters in the required format are necessary, please try your best to get them. If after all efforts you are unable to obtain a work reference letter, then you should provide a solemn declaration / affidavit explaining in detail why are you unable to do so. The officers at the VO are aware of the fact that different employers have different policies towards issuing such adhoc letters and may not cooperate in issuing such a letter. Please do attach all your employment records with the declaration. I was unable to obtain a work reference letter from one of my employers and did the same. However please bear in mind that the final decision rests with the visa officer handling your case."

as i understood, from the documents checklist "" if one cannot obtain (for any reason) a reference letter as described, that is with all the necessary info, you can submit a copy of your work contract and pay stub - and it will cover the main things that prove your work background

Thanks friends for the info. I have to submit all the employment records and should hope for the best. It's very difficult here in India to get those letters from previous employers.

I am going to apply by myself. I don't think even lawyer can help you with submitting file without IELTS/WES. It is made clear that a file without IELTS & WES will be considered incomplete and will be returned. I would say wait for IELTS & WES as I don't think 1000 cap will be filled in a month or so.

solution?- hardly.. someone already mentioned that it is not likely that any NOC will be filled within a month... but, it IS a risk.. that is what this program is all about.. if you read carefully, patiently, and especially if you follow suggestions from seniors here about things you are not certain about, you ARE ABLE to fill the app ON YOUR OWN "professionally"- whatever you mean by that.. last thing you need in this program is more expenses... regarding the "on time" app, it is on time when you have everything ready, and it cannot be different even with a representative. am applying on my own, with the help from folks from FSW2013, and my suggestion to you is to do the same... of course, the final decision is solely yours - this is only my opinion! good luck!

Ur lawyer is just screwing you to fetch $$$ from you.

Don do mistake by sending App without ECA , it will be returned
You will be delayed by 4-5 mnths as ur original ielts will be with cic and it takes 5 mnths to get app back , wen once you send it.

ECA is mandatory otherwise cic will not process file and you cant send it later on , It has to be send with the application packet. There is no option and alternative to this.

I qualify to apply both for NOC 2171 & NOC 2281. The supporting documents are a bit more inclided toward NOC 2281. Please advise if applying in NOC 2171 will have any advantage over NOC 2281.

While filling IMM008, number 7 requires information on CSQ. If what one has gotten is just the AOR (under QSW), and one is now applying for FSW should one still go ahead to provide details of CSQ application in 7c of IMM008 or one should write N/A all through?
