If your friend has full time work experience in one of the 50 eligible occupations for atleast one year or more, then I'd say yes. For FSW, there are no specific instructions to not count work experience gained as a full time student.
Just my 2 cents ...

Good luck!

Good Afternoon,

I am writing this to find out if I am eligible to apply under FSWP for 2014. I am a civil engineer with masters in Civil engineering from University of Western Ontario, London , Canada and 1.5 years of work experience in Pakistan as a civil engineer. I am currently on Post-grad work visa till 2016 but not working under occupation 0, a or B currently.

I have a confusion if I am eligible to apply under the work experience of civil engineer for 1.5 years in Pakistan from Canada?

As long as you have 67 points you are good. No one can tell you your chances until your app reaches CIC and is accepted by them. Sorry. No one can predict which cap will fill by when.

Hi All

I'm new here. I've read through most of the thread and I think I'm all caught up now. There are several questions I had that have been answered by just reading through, but not all. So here goes:

  • For proof of funds, do any of you know if funds in a Forex trading account would be accepted?
  • For the experience verification letter from employer, is it to be specifically addressed to a particular body/entity (if so, what name and address to put) or can employer just write at the top "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN"?

Thanks in advance for your response(s).

Regards

Dear Members,

Today I mailed my Application for FSW2014 for NOC 2133 category, FedEx has given a delivery date for my documents to be May 6th. I hope I can make it in the 500 Quota for this NOC.

You should have waited. CIC is known to give surprises at the last moment...

Goodluck...

Q1: The DD should be in what name?

THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA (as mentioned in the form IMM5620)

or

RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA (as mentioned in the guide 7000)

Q2: Are online payments are accepted by CIO, is that true? Can we pay in advance?

hi Guys,
I have two urgent questions, please give me your opinions.

First: Will there be new forms for the new FSW 2014 or we can use the current forms on the website??

Second: Can we submit the application today, or we shall wait till 1st May to see the new instructions and forms (if any) ??

I am confused if the change is only in the new caps and eligible occupations, or there will be new instructions, forms and checklists.

thanks for your cooperation.

Hello Friends,

Section 7 of form IMM0008ENU_2D regarding "Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)"

I am applying for NOC 2131 and intend to settle in Alberta

Could you please tell whether we need this certificate?

as per CIC guide

Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?

Check the corresponding box
If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ
Note: If you are applying for refugee protection, check “no” for Question 7a and leave 7c blank.

Do i need to apply this certificate?

If i don't select anything, 7 b) and 7 c) is Grey.
I asking this question, because we cannot leave any section blank.Blank section should have N/A.
