I have a similar issue. I stayed in a country for 3 years. Now I am back to my home country.

Somebody pls clarify!

it is clearly stated - if u stayed in those countries after you've turned 18 and it was within last ten years - YES, you do need to submit those PCCs

If I'm doing right,
12 a) will be the one NOC code which you select to have worked on most of your years (your experience)

this doesnt seem to be the NOC code, which we intend to apply.


If thats correct, where exactly are we mentioning the NOC code we wants to apply under ? Is it only on the envelope to CIO ?

Say some one is holding the position as Service Engineer under NOC 2132 (Mech engineer).


He did another Job five years back with another NOC 2133 (Electrical Engg). He worked as Production Engineer. By this NOC experience he want to apply.

So for

12 -a: "Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements:

Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133

12 -b: Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application.

First occupation : Service Engineer NOC : 2132

Second Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133


Here is the CIC guidelines for Schedule-3:

Question 12
Your work experience

a) Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements. Choose one occupation from the list you provide in your answer to 12b).

Hi friends,

need some advice.

I have already checked NOC 1111 and NOC 0111 and I can cleary say that I am performing duties for both of them, but inclined more towards Financial managers NOC 0111.


However when it comes to the Employment Requirements In Last point they say "Accounting Managers May Require CA Degree" which I do not posses and now its is my main concern and bothering me. I don't want to face last stage ineligibility issues or NOC not matching.

Its a requirement to get a Job on Canada once u r there...So need not to worry now...

I have another confusion. I am applying under NOC 2133 and my designation was System Engineer and Sr System Engineer. But in CIC page "http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ViewAllTitlesQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2133&val65=2133" no where these titles are mentioned but my job description are almost 80% matching. What could be the way forward?

For e.g. If I want to apply under 2173 and have identified my roles in application as 2174.

1. Then is the below layout fine.
2. What Should I mention in 3rd line
"NOC Category: 2173" or just
"NOC Category"

NOC 1112 - May 01/13 - May 31/13 (working as an intern and I was a full time student)
NOC B - June 06/13 - Present (post graduation).

I worked as an intern in May 2013 and I want to know if I can include that Canadian work experience. I worked on an authorized work permit so technically speaking I will have one year of full time work experience in May 06/14. With my Canadian education and work experience I'm currently scoring 72 points. Without the work experience I score 62 points, in which case I will have to submit an ECA report on my international education.

Any thoughts? Advise? Thanks!

Your no. of working hours matter dear. Pl check whether you have 30hr per week exp. Then yes, part time is acceptable. But not as an internship.
post grd. is not a work exp.

Dude, please read the thread carefully before replying.
We are not talking about either to obtain PCC or not. We are talking about the date of issue of these PCC if we have never visited that country again.

I have same question too. Because work requirement says that unpaid internship are not taken into consideration but what about paid internship?? So from my point of view any unpaid work experience is not considered.

Your work experience must be:
•at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
•paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
•in the same occupation, and
•within the last 10 years,
•at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)

Hi all,

Help needed to assess points for education:

I am a CMA (cost and management accountant) and my noc is 0111 financial managers. I applied to WES for assessment of my CMA degree which is done after bachelors; I did not send them my bachelor's dox. They sent me the following evaluation:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMERY
2 years of professional study

I contacted them and told them that I think it is unfair as in my country it is equal to masters, they told me to send my bachelors dox and I ve sent them now but my ECAS still shows dox awaited.

Now I have this evaluation report with me my question is

Do I wait for my re-evaluation to arrive or send my application with the old report. If I do then what would my points ?
