Thanks guys, I sent a voice message to stevens and a mail to him. Written few emails to cic as well. Will have my mom the send the forms tomorrow. Hopefully they should reach CIC on Monday. Only thing i should pray is they shouldn't send back my app already or even if they have it with them, they should be considerate enough to get it back and re-charge it. Highly Unlikely but with support from you guys am trying to do whatever i can.

Hi Guys,

My CC has been charged on 15th July, I never said I recieved PER.
Although
Since that day I was checking the status on ECAS and fortunately today my ECAS status showed 'In Process', and when I got into that link it says 'We received your application on May 15th 2013'. Although I have not received the evaluation of positive eligibility yet.
P.S Note : This UCI is from my previous Application in 2010.

To clarify certain Matters in previous post:
CIC does check on every package they recieve, then they send it back if not withing the CAP or any issues.
Getting an UCI does not guaretee if we are through , Only if we get PER then we can rest easy. Hope it helps.

I would strongly recommend to all other applicants,
if you feel you missed something or filled some forms incorrectly in your application- send another package with missing document together with cover letter.
Don't leave it on chance.
Be proactive.

Guys my bank told me that CIC tried to charge my card on 16th and 17th but couldn't make the payment as i entered a wrong expiry date of my credit card. Since they tried till 17th, when can i expect them to send back my application. I can get the new fee payment form delivered to them on monday with a covering letter. Would it be of any use? Tried to fax them but it is 2.00 AM here and i couldn't get it done. Please guys suggest me further.

This shouldn't happen to anyone. Too bad your bank didn't seek your opinion the instance. But like you have been, use all options possible.

Your bank should of asked whether or not to authorize the transaction even though the wrong date was entered. And then when you get your PER, you can update the CIC with the card info. This is ridiculous man! Try and get the updated info to them as soon as possible!

It requires a lot of efforts for the bank to allow any transaction having wrong details like name or exp date etc.
because CIC has the terminal of authorization and they directly get authorization from the member company i.e. diners/visa/mastercard/amex etc. this is why whoever card is even password protected, still they get charged..
Banks CAN bypass these details and allow the transaction but it requires lot of approvals and efforts at credit dept and technology dept end.

Application Number 2 just received in Nova Scotia today.
Sure I know they haven't even opened Application Number 1 as it was only received on the 12th of June but anyway, I decided to resend the whole thing again as I realized I had used the old Economic Classes application and also the birth cert translation was missing the affidavit.
SENIORS, please can you make a note on the spreadsheet that I resent my application?

My file was returned on 21st June 2013 due to additional spouse form missing.
As on today 20th July, i have still not received back my returned file (India).. been 1 month

is that Canada's fault or India's? That's ridiculous. Anyone with an answer for this.

My CC was charges on 15 July and app recieved was 15 th May.No PER recieved yet.

I just tried to check my status on ECAS by using the UCI number I got from call center and it shows application in progress.
I don't have UCI from past as this is my first attempt for Canada.

But there is a problem.They did some spelling mistake in my middle namw while updating the ECAS.Is this a problem??
How can I rectify it??

Does the ECAS status means I am through???

ECAS status does not guarantee that u r through. Until and Unless you don't receive a PER . u cant breathe easy. I had my UCI in 2010 and still got rejected after that due to insufficient points.
So 1 more step is still there where they calculate the points.
U and I are in the same boat. more patience is required.
Hopefully coming week will answer many things for us.
