Well my application has been sent to the Abu Dhabi office instead of the New Delhi office!!!!!!!! We are residents in UAE but requested the New Delhi ioffice...........however, CPC has send it to Abu Dhabi!!!

We wanted the New Delhi office as it will be faster...........................but now I guess we will have to wait!!!!!!!

Thought I'd ask here before opening a new thread. I am currently in Canada (from Ireland) Since January 25th, 6 month visitor visa. My common-law partner and I sent our app in February obviously and so far just sponsorship has been approved,and we are in Quebec so that will slow down things further. Anyways, I will need to apply for an extension on the visitor visa. Is this straight forward? I assume I tell the truth and provide my receipt and file number? Where do you do this? Do you need to provide details of a return flight when applying for the extension? Any details would be great!

ARC = Authorization to Return to Canada. All persons who leave Canada on an order of departure or an order of deportation must get ARC before they can return. It is a Ministerial authorization.

I sent my documents to attorney for Quebec Skilled Worker Program in Jan'2011.

Attorney sent the documents to Hongkong Office on Feb'04'2011. I got a letter from Government of Quebec on Mar'15'2011 mentioning that they don't recognize my attorney and needs to file for representation as per new policies effective from Feb'02'2011. They also returned my Credit Card payment form as processing payment of $395. This letter had one file number on it, starting with HA.

Then, I sent one representation form to my attorney and they filled for represntation along with $100 as representation fee. He filled for represntation in Apr'2011. Also, he sent the payment for processing again in May'2011.

I havn't heard anything back from anyone yet. Please share your experiances.

A letter was sent to me may 2, to update my declaration form and my sponsor should also update the MAS form. and all my result to be notarized. all dis document should me submitted on or before 31st of july. but my document is still wit them in canada. We started processing XXXXX XXXX's application on May 10, 2011.


So does that mean that I can start counting the published processing times from MAY 10th? Ankara process' 80% of their cases within 7 months BUT (and a BIG FAT BUT) my husbands WILL NOT fall into that category as he needs an ARC (SUCKS!!!) so based on what we've seen its looking like a year and a half- to possibly two years :-( Unless a miracle happens!!! lol Looks like we'll be doing his meds again in november....I wonder if they actually did anything on May 10th, 2011 BESIDES his interview?

Usually the processing time is supposed to be counted from when the VO starts processing the application, yes. The need for ARC will delay your husband's processing beyond the normal time span, yes, but we can always hope it doesn't take as long as that! At, least, I hope that for you guys.
