FBI Background Check

Can you please share your timeline of getting the FBI Background Check? How long does it take? By the way, when they send you the FBI report, do they use a FBI envelop or just an ordinary envelop? Please advise.

You already have my timings but let me help start off this thread:

Request sent: 5 May 2012
Received by FBI: 8 May 2012
Card charged: 25 May 2012
Mailed by FBI: 13 June 2012
Received by me: 18 June 2012

Total FBI Processing time 5 weeks. Total end to end /w delivery via FedEx international priority: 6 weeks

Other details:
* Included a cover letter asking to expedite the processing. Included additional non-mandatory information like SSN and addresses in US.
* Included a prepaid FedEx envelope (FedEx acct number) for return mail.

The FedEx priority envelope that was sent back to me looked like this:

Inside it was the regular "snail mail" variety of envelope with a clear window in front which looked like this (obviously letter has been removed):

It took us 9 weeks to receive ours, don't remember what envelope it came in

My dates:
Request sent: April 19, 2012
Credit card charged: May 9, 2012
Certificate issued by FBI: June 4, 2012
Certificate received: June 11, 2012

Everything was done by First Class Mail. No return envelope was included with the request.

I mailed my request on April 30
Received by FBI May 1
FBI sent the certificate June 5
I received it the week of June 11 in BC (don't remember exact date)

It was much faster than it says on the website.

Hey guys and gals, thank you for sharing ;D I called FBI last night and they said they will mail it to me by latest on the 21st but the guy said that they may have already mailed out. Cross my fingers :-*

8- 10 weeks. i used ordinary envelop.

I have a question. I'm in Sweden and they asked me for FBI certificate. I don't know how to do it, I thought I could take fingerprints at police and they don't do it..

Please a need a guide to do it... What steps to follow and where to do it and how to pay
I just have 60 days to do this and I'm nervous since I don't know how to do this

Please Any help?

HELP!!! In the website of the FBI there is this note.... Can anyone explain me what means

Note: Due to upcoming changes in processing, effective October 12, 2013, the FBI will no longer be accepting self-addressed stamped envelopes with Departmental Order requests. Envelopes received postmarked after this date will be destroyed. Thank you for your patience as we try to streamline our processes to improve our service to you.

That part of *self-addressed stamped envelopes with Departmental Order requests*
It means maybe I can not send an extra envelope prepaid to make it faster?
