Hi everyone... i am new in this forum..I would like to ask anyone who could help me answer these questions on my mind. Please help... here's my timeline...

oct '09 sent app to missisauga with medicals.
dec'09 appvd sponsor
Jan 07,2010 started processing in manila
feb 03'10 received passport and other documents request
feb 09'10 sent pp and the rest of docs request
March'10 husband received rprf request and pay right away
Then we thought visa will be soon..but.......
June 14'10 recieved a call from CIC Manila that they are requesting for an NBI clearance and said that they sent me an email last february 20'10 which i answered that i have not recieve anything in my email. Then she confirmed my email address and i found she sent the wrong one. So to end the conversation i just thank her of calling me then i rushed to go and get NBI clearance and sent on the same day through courier.
The processing in manila started January 7,2010. So it means 6 months july 7 of processing. Because as i have read on their guidelines of processing is within 6 months approval. And then they will only entertain concerns beyond 6 months and still no visa. Is it true that CIC manila will entertain personal inquiry beyond 6 months? And after sending the NBI clearance, how long do i have to wait again? Please help if anyone has the same experience...........God bless you all............
I don't think CIC-Manila will entertain personal inquiries. They will just ask you to fill up the Request for Follow-up For Application in Process form. You may want to ask your sponsor to ask assistance from his MP if it's over the normal processing times already. They will be the one to inquire from CIC-M on the status of your application or thru this link https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=manila.

Your still within normal processing times as they started processing your papers in Manila on Jan, 2010. Good luck.

Hi, I'm new, but have been reading since my husband got his status changed to DM July 1 - Canada time.

1.How come his status only shows the date when they started processing it? It doesnt show when they made the decision?
2.Would it take 2weeks to deliver even if he only lives in Valenzuela City?
3.Is the seminar the only thing to do after receiving the visa, would they give the certificate and stamp the sticker after the seminar or he has to go back for that?
4.What would be the questions from the consulate when he enters canada?

Sorry for asking too much, i just dont have any idea! Thanks so much.
Here's my timeline:

Jan27- application mailed to CIC-M
Feb23- approved to sponsor
Mar23- started processing in Manila
Mar26- received letter asking for NBI and PP
Mar30- submitted docs
no respond for 3months
July1- checked status, status was Decision Made
..WAITING

@ anrebama

This is only my opinion and maybe some experts here can add something or explain better to what I can give.

1. I think that all ecas here in CEM is shown like that. Mine only has 3 entries; started processing DATE, medicals done (no date), and decision made (no date as well).

2. I think they do send the visa package in batch that's why it takes 2 weeks to deliver even in Metro areas. I live in Rizal, only 45 minutes away from pasig and still my visa package arrived 11 working days after DM.

3. There are two seminars, first the COA (Canadian Orientation Abroad) seminar conducted by IOM funded by CIC and this is voluntary and free, second is the PDOS (Pre-departure Orientation Seminar) conducted by CFO and this is mandatory and with fee. Immigration Officer here will not let you pass if your passport does not bear the stamp/sticker.

4. I don't know yet. Also would like to know about this :D.

Goodluck to us all. God Bless...

@ianpogi

Thanks for giving me an idea on what to expect.
So my husband's ECAS notification is most likely like everybody else, but could it be a refused decision? Btw, about the seminars, does it mean that he doesnt really need to attend the COA seminar? Only the PDOS would do?

Thanks again for replyin to my post, really appreciate it.

I hope his Visa would arrive soon.
Congratulations on your visa.
