Thanks! ECAS says they started processing the application on August 16, but when I emailed yesterday they responded in the evening (at 9:08!) from VO SE5040 with the standard "your application is in process don't bother us" email, so I hope we don't get stuck on "in process" for another 5 months. I keep refreshing to see if ECAS will go to DM.

If this process won't make you crazy, nothing will.

I hear that!! Ottawa has started processing a few early February applicants and I am waiting on pins and needles for my PPR. Of course, I emailed my attorney to tell him to be on the lookout because it will go to his email addy and he told me that I won't get it for at least 4 more months because the website says processing takes up to 14 months. I explained that they HAVE started sending PPR to February applicants but, like most attorneys I've dealt with, he knows EVERYTHING. GRRRRRRR!!! I hope HE doesn't sit on the PPR!!

I'm sure you will see DM in the next week. Hopefully they open your application and realize how long it has sat and make it a priority.

PPR on March 4 - we responded right away with docs and passport copies and then ... nothing for 5 months. We never had "in process" before now, so this is a big change.

Exactly, they don't take the time to really research what the process is, they just take the easy route and go to the CIC website and read THOSE updates. And we all know how reliable those updates are!! I just want my PPR and know that is all they need from me and I will be content......for awhile anyway. lol

Sounds like the lawyer is basically saying "I don't know when it will come so don't pester me". Not very good customer service.
