Received COPR! e-cas showed "decision made" this Tuesday morning, and they sent it out yesterday to my husband address in Canada (I tracked Canada post online). I finally can stop worrying about it...

how did you track it? Our decision made appeared in e-cas on February 28th and we are still waiting for the COPR. I live 45 minutes outside of Ottawa.... hopefully its coming soon....

Yeah, It's not so much a complaint as it's more of almost there type of thing. I was prepared to wait months for it.. Now it came hre so fast I wasnt ready haha

I sent them a prepaid envelope with a tracking number, because I am a Chinese I need to give them my actual passport rather than a copy.

Oh I see. My husband is from the US but we asked that the documentation be sent to us in Canada as he is here visiting me.... I guess I will just sit back and wait like everyone else...... I'm not complaining.... ;D

Well holy moly, it's 3am in deepest darkest Alberta (can't sleep) and I got an email from Ecas tracker (didn't think that was working) about 20 mins ago, to say Ecas has been updated stating 'medical results have been recieved' .

Is this thing nearing an end 8)

That's great news, hopefully that was the last thing holding up your file. My guess is that ecas is customarily several weeks behind and the VO is done with the medical part of your application. Time for you to start logging on to ecas every day now

We e-mailed it to them. I've heard of some people getting an automated e-mail upon receipt of the passport copy and others who haven't. In my case I've heard nothing at all from them since the PPR request. No confirmation or anything. So I guess we will see. I sent the passport copy initially with the file back in July anyway so they should now have two copies. Who knows. All I can do is send an e-mail and wait patiently again... grrr lol.

We sent our PPR via email and snail mail with a tracking. I wanted to have proof that it was received.

Personally I would switch around the contacts so that your number is first as it seems that will be the number where you all will be the majority of the time. I don't think it will be that big of a deal either way if have both email accounts. Of course they could possibly call you if there is any information needed. I am not sure what the best way to go about it is. Can it be done online?

Thanks for your feedback. I think I should update the phone no. just in case. I was going to email CPP-O with the application number and the canada phone number. Hopefully it works .Is this the right way to do that ?Suggestions appreciated..

I just got an extension at the end of December sent it in September. Be prepared to wait about three months. Good thing was, I put in for a year extension and they granted it but not from the time I asked they granted the year from the time it was processed. I'm good until December.

Congratulation for your extension. I just mailed the extension last week.

Does anyone know how should i go around updating my wife's main contact number since she is visiting me now ?..I checked the CIC website and i am confused whether i should email CPP-O or submit the online form.

This is from the CIC website:

I need to change my personal information or my mailing address. What do I do?
Please e-mail us (OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca) in any of the following cases:

You change your marital status
There is a birth or death in your family.
You change your mailing, residential or e-mail address if you reside outside of Canada**.
**If you reside in Canada, you must use the CIC's online form to change your contact information.

It is up to you to keep your contact information up-to-date. If you do not keep your contact information up-to-date, it could delay the processing of your application. Please quote your complete application number (letter “E”, “EP” or “F” ) followed by eight or nine digits in all correspondence with our office.

Email them. I changed my phone number and address through email only. They are very prompt.once you email ,you should get an auto confirmation response from them.

So, is it okay to give them the current Canadian contact number (since she is visiting ) ?
