My friend, you dont need a facilitation visa, as you are canadian citizen and your son is only two months old so he is citizen by default at the time of birth and you can get canadian passport for him straight away valid for three years and in the mean time you have to apply for citizen ship card. only requisite is that you file both applications at the same time.

I already paid for Citizenship Certificate online and sent that reciept in with his passport, etc. The problem with Canadian Passport after checking today it says it requires original citizenship certificate but right now I am in Pakistan and my citizenship card is back home in Canada. I only can stay in Pakistan till middle of May as my 3 month Pakistan Visa will expire. So I have absolute no clue what to do.
Should I apply for the Temporary Resident Visa (TRP) for my son?

Also these stupid people sent me a response by e-mail after my baby was born telling me how to apply for a facilitation visa and only said pay the fee, send his birth certificate, proof of my citizenship photocopy and citizenship reciept followed with a letter requesting a facilitation visa. Thats exactly what I did. Words cannot describe the swearing I am doing at CHC-Islamabad

I no what you are going through .. i did the same when my sons passport application was sent back sighting that in picture for passport my 6 month old son is having his mouth slightly open making his face in disfigure category.... and eventually after my writing to them saying that how can i tell a 6month old child to sit still and has his mouth shut for the picture to be taken (my opinion seconded by their official photographer in karachi JIMMY's) that they used that picture .. they are so stupid in this regard


send them a copy of that letter which you received and tell them that what issues u have .. and u could have done or u might as well try doing that by asking he consulate people to include it on your or your wife passport as infant can travel on thier parents passport... whatever feasible ... just chill and try to meet the people at the consulate as you are in ISL......

No need to swear as that cannot solve the issue as it will aggravate.... so masoud100 take my advice and be humble and polite them.....to get your issue resolved you can email your MP abt it too thats what my wife did.... ;D

in this repect they are right you shoud have your citizensip card with you and you should go to embassy personally otherwise they will keep you running in circles. If you can get you citizenship certificate by courrier , this matter can be solved immediately. only other option is facilittion visa but acording to new requirements even infants should have their own passport an thats th reason they issue passport immediately to newborns for a period of three years

hotshot its really sad to hear about your uncle, i know when we have our own problems and we magnify them n loose sight of situations that could be real devastating, n something like this rocks our world, we start seeing thing differently. from the correct prospective again. sometimes i feel lke this is the worst situation i could be in, but then i hear or see someone is an actually worst case scenario n i thank God for saving me from stuff like that. life and health are the two most important things in life, everything else can be worked upon and made better!

Thank you for caring! Yeah it's very depressing when you lose a close family member. My uncle was in UK and he used visit almost every year. He is no more!!! and it's so hard for me and my entire family accept this tragedy. But Allah(swt) knows best! Ofc first thing we all should ask for is health and leave the rest to Almighty.

I have question, im going to travel Canada first time as FC1 category immigrant, i hear that FIA Immigration officer at Pakistan airport inquire about the funds(Canadian dollars) carry by immigrant and if funds are not sufficient they dont allow to on board the aircraft. Kindly share if any member ever faced such difficulty by immigration staff. Please reply im worried....

Thats not the case nimba... they dont ask you how much you are carrying with you.... almost all of my family has travelled to Canada and nobody asked them how much money they were taking with them..... :

i hope its just a misunderstading.. because if your case was smooth then there shouldnt be any reason for refusal... i dont know about your personal issues but i would say "discuss it with your wife".. CHC cannot just refuse your case without any reason and without informaing you guys... if you meet their requirements and criteria then why would they refuse your case ?? :-X

would like to see this answered .... and then find out how can it be a glitch to refuse a case as such. i would think there would be some sort of safeguards (verification prompts, etc.) and not just a simple click to close the file permanently. my prayers are with you, and inshallah it gets sorted ASAP. if that had been on my file, i'm sure that my "halat" would have been very bad indeed,
