I was NOT told by the office that after how many days/months will i be getting a PPR request. I even offered the officer to keep my passport but she refused and told me that the immigration section will contact you once they have made a decision on the immigrant visa. The office did tell me that this this the last step towards getting my application completed and the immigration officer will soon be making a decision on my file. The security interviews are conducted by a Security specialist/analysts and not by an immigration office.
If your medical has already expired then the next thing you will be getting is a re-medical form and after that will you be getting your VISA.

My interview was conducted in English, but they did ask me that if i want to have the interview in URDU or FRENCH. The security interviews will be related to your case. The office will go through a series of questions and they will ask you to answer each of them one by one. The questions will be like (Spell out your full name, Spell out your spouse full name, What is your date of birth, what is your spouse date of birth, Spell out your child's full name, What is your Child's date of birth. What do you do, what are your responsibilities at work, give the name of all the companies you have worked at, what were your responsibilities in each of the companies. Which countries have you traveled, do you remember the dates. Have you ever joined the military. Do you know any diplomats, etc etc). The total time that my interview took was only 1 hour.

i emailed them again this month and receivded reply that file is que for review by IMMIGRATION OFFICER.

how is htat possible? i mean it seems like our file went one step back. did n e body else expeirence this? does n e 1 know what this could mean.

its a husband case, aor is of aug 30 2010, re pcc submited july 23, 2011, remed done sept 7, 2011.

Their reply is not always correct. They replied to somoene who was waiting for Re-medical and PPR that their file is in queue for Initial review.

It is possible that the decision making officer is making a decision on the genuinity of the relationship while the immigration officer is assessing the second background check results.

I also got the same reply , first Decision making officer n then Immigration officer, do not worry, this is normal. Your file is in its last stages. Soon ur husband would receive passport request

Can you please tell me if you are sponsoring your wife or are you being sponsored? You mentioned you received a call from immigration on your cell, did you receive the call in Pakistan or Canada. Because we did not get any such calls. Also you said you replied to the letter in 3 days, but they gave us 45 days to reply. Did you have all the letters and documents ready before you got the letter. Because it took me three weeks to get all the documents and proofs together, and I sent them around 700 to 800 pages of different documents. (I can send you the list of documents if you want to see)

By the way I consulted a lawyer in Montreal, the lawyer actually recommended me not to go to Pakistan for Rukhsati and instead put together a detailed list of documents, proofs and letters showing our relationship.

Did you get any reply from them since you sent your Rukhsati and other pics?

Hi guys,

I am really happy that I came across this forum today. Made me feel better to see many people going through the same things as I am.

I have few questions, hope someone can help me too.

I am in Montreal and I started my wife's sponsorship process in September 2010, she is in Lahore. We have only done Nikah, and becuase of that in November 2011 we received a letter from immigration Islamabad office saying that as our relationship has not been consummated, and that it will only be consummated after she gets her permanent residence visa, because of this they think our marriage is not genuine. And they asked us for further proof of our ongoing relationship.

We explained that I do not live in Pakistan so we could not live together and we explained that the significance of Nikah I Islam. Also gave them proof of our ongoing communications...

My question is, has anyone else experienced this and also do you guys think this will delay our file? I can really use some help and guidance here...

I read your situation and believe you have probably already received great advise from those who also replied to you. When I read your statement above, I re-lived everything my wife and I are going through with her immigration. Started off as a Nikah only application, received the same 45 day marriage of convienence letter regarding consumation of marriage, where we too responded with additional proofs and documents of our relationship.

I can speak from our experience, that anyone with a Nikah only application will have their files delayed with no guarantee the file will be approved even after the delay unless a ruhksati is complete. Most likely placed in an interview queue where interview could take over 1 year + to arrive if not longer from the date which the application is placed in queue. My wifes application is place in an interview queue which I only became aware of after applying for a CAIPS report on her file, i suggest applying for your CAIPS report if you already have not done so to determine status of your application.

Since then we have conducted ruhksati and submitted documents, but we are still waiting for additional status on her file since submitting those documents. If we had completed full wedding including ruhksati before applying, I have no doubt our process would have been completed by now.

I have just received GCMS notes today. It took only 22 days to get the notes. What does it mean “ No info on the back of the photo for PA(principal applicant) hence CSCD not entered”. This information is added under CPC-M notes
Most of the sections say “NOT STARTED” even file has been there for more than 14 months now.
