What I really don't understand is, we have to pay a government fee, plus a landing fee....ok they should be updating our ecas online all the time, letting us know what and where our file is and why...basically every information in detail, we should know, thats our right. I wrote the minister of immigration, letting them know i have not heard anything about my file on sponsoring my husband, and i got a reply that my husband needs to fill out a certain form giving me, his wife permission, to know information on his application...LOL.this of course made me sad/upset....but I have to laugh at how ridiculous their system for sponsorship is....I have to have permission on my husband's file from my husband, and I filed for MY HUSBAND to come TO ME.......ok does not sound correct to me.
I see people get through who applied after me, way after me too...Allah bless them and I am so happy for them from all my heart! But how and why is it fair for this to happen...... I could understand if my husband committed a crime or had a very difficult situation that I could understand why they would investigate more...but that is not even the case. It's straight simple! Hmmmmmmm......

Something has to be done, and it seems something very wrong is going on at this Visa Office for Cairo. I agree with Mr.EngX a billion percent. And Ontarion.... Crazy how our spouces cant even get a visitor visa.
Its frustration to the Maximum!!

But, we end up at this spot again, and can't really do anything about it, but wait! And if you email or call to find out information, you look suspicious! UNBELIEVABLE!
May God bless and help us all, and I pray we all hear something so soon, And I wish and pray that when we all do reach our loved ones so soon EnshaAllah, that we all are blessed with all the happiness and having a great and wonderful life. EnshaAllah.

Take care everyone and so soon EnshaaLLAH we hear something.

:) Thanks for your feedback with this topic friends. Thank you Emadiano for your kind words that I know you truly meant. And Ontarioan, thank you too so much for your kind words. I know so soon we all at some point in time will be together with our loved ones, EnshaAllah.

I pray we all will hear something so soon, and we must be strong and be patient with our loved ones, because I know this process can get a bit frustrating, but again pray because everything is happening by God, it really is.

Thanks guys!! :) Take care!

To be Honest, I can not be sure of what the situation is. However, I can tell that these people are not working in sync. It seems like every office is working on its own even on the same file.
However, Form what I hear, it seems like this may not affect your application. The reason is, once you get a PPR, it means a decision was made already. And, as they stated in this letter the application will only be withdrawn if a decision has not been made yet. So, I would relax and Inshaa Allah things will go fine.

Is it normal to get an interview request and the interview is scheduled in 8 Weeks? I see everyone getting an email that schedules the itnerview in a week or two. Last week mywife got an email for an interview scheduled in 8 weeks. is that normal? does it have anything to do with the situation in cairo? can we do anything to puish waiving it or she has to make it to the embassy regardless of the current situation in El-Tahrir and Alabbasiyah?

it is very normal. It is not necessary that they suspect something but may be they do.

It took 8 weeks may be because it is the summer time and the embassy receives many applications for touristic and study visas.

My advice is that you have to sit with your wife on Skype and go over all the possible questions (see below). Make sure she knows ALL YOUR LIFE DETAILS in Canada. Also, if you have any additional documents or information that was not submitted with the original file, please send them now. I assume your file is in Ottawa. Write a cover letter with your file number and send them to Ottawa. You can also send them to your wife (if they requested that she brings further documentation with her but I assume they did not because the file is processed in Ottawa and giving the documents to Cairo would be useless). Because your file is processed in Ottawa, the visa officer who reviewed it in Ottawa is different from the one who will do the interview in Cairo. There might be something in the mind of the Ottawa officer and deliver it to the Cairo officer to ask your spouse about them (just guessing). Some people try to get the system notes (called CAIPS, I think) to see the concerns of the officer. If you have time to get the CAIPS records, do it.
I copied and pasted all kinds of questions. Go over them with your wife..you have enough time to finish them all and repeat them several times. Insh'allah things will be fine.

Types of interview questions generally VO asks the applicant :-

1. When and where did you meet your spouse for the first time?
2. How did you meet your spouse?
3. How old is your spouse? What is your spouse's birth date?
