Any news for anyone here who applied October 2016 or before or even after just we have hear here one DM
Me too about to complete 5 months waiting and process started also 24 November in Cairo after medical results received got nothing , app received on 26 October .

Congratulations for i Abdallah your case gave us hope too.

iabdellah said he didn't hear anything from them, no updates on CIC he just got an Email!! I guess the Cairo Visa office doesn't understand that they are dealing with people's lives, and something as small as an update on their app makes a huge difference, and brings hope. Allahu A3lam, but maybe we will get it very soon, I'm also closing in on the 5 month mark!! Inchallah Kheir

Looks like everyone here is new to CIC! I've been through the PR myself and it is extremely stressful to keep waiting. I know it is hard but do not have any hope that they will finalized before the promised 12 months. Otherwise, your life will become more painful day after day.

But the 12 months thing that was before as now is even 11 months for old applications and most here got it within this year in 4 months to 6 months , as you maybe know of new updates of process to finalize fast the new applications with 12 but who sent before 7 Dec will be within 11 months or less depending on thier order of receipt by Cic . the problem is the lake of updates which makes online inquiries useless .

I think what wildemam is trying to say is "hope for the best, plan for the worst". I mean their is a chance we may get the PR soon, but also their is a chance we won't.

Agree about that but to exceed the 12 months can't be called worst as there are still time limitation to each stage thier work is as any work have service level to do even they won't say but they can't keep file for some amount of time not processed . The first approval is done for example within month but the rest is 10 months and that's the maximum . Is same if you do your job at last minute they don't do so as anyway will be backlog which will add to the new work.

that s good news . that happend to me too . its just cus they didn't send all your documents from attawa
they asked me for the same things too with photo letters emails . but they wont really look at it . any way , did they ask you for 2 personal photo and your passport ?
