Hello,

You recently registered for Nova Scotia Start Pre-arrival Programs and may have been sent a welcome message by my colleague Sadeta or myself, together with a request for immigration information. If you have already sent your immigration details, we thank you. However, due to the high volumes of new registrations, we are noticing discrepancies and/or duplications in immigration numbers provided. To secure your registration and your eligibility for these programs, we ask that you email us a scanned copy of the immigration document you received (or that the main application received, if you are a named spouse/dependent on the application to immigrate):

a Letter of Nomination from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration
a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada indicating individuals awaiting statutory CIC checks
a letter notifying pick up of Canadian visa
a Canadian visa (but have not landed in Canada yet)
a Permanent Resident card (or the Confirmation of Permanent Residence visa form)
After, I receive your scanned document, I will reply to confirm your eligibility and continue the process of referring you to ISIS Pre-arrival Programs.

We thank you for your cooperation in the matter and look forward to working with you.

This is the mail I received mid-April from NS Start program. I even managed to get registered with NS Start program and now they are asking for proof of nomination or visa to secure the registration.
By no mean I want to discourage you guys, but there is nothing to get excited about mail from NS Start.
NS Start and NS PNP are totally different and we are intended to registered for NS Start once we get nomination or visa.

This program is not worth waiting for nor NOVA SCOTIA is a good place to live lifetime. I found 15 reasons to leave NS while I was looking for 3 reasons to move to NS.
I strongly recommend to apply for FSWP for who are eligible rather than waiting for response from NS.
I still cannot believe that my occupation is not in the FSWP LIST. I'm so disappointed and NS pnp IS also hopeless.

If you are eligible, go run for FSWP.

..yeah i agree with you...don't waste time waiting..better apply for fsw 2014...

Plz read the statement of canada govt.As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.

If you make this operation (25 / 202) * 3000 you could estimate the number of applicants in NOC 2147 = 371 APPLICANTS, they need to choose only 3 people from these 371.

I applied in NOC 2171 13/202 * 3000 = 193 where to choose from.

Well said David...we all put lot of efforts to send application...there should be quick feedback and ofcourse each and every application they have to process instead first come first serve.
Guys what we can do is draft a long mail highlighting our concerns about first come and first serve and send it to nova scotia.
we can also tell them this was not mentioned before and its not leagal ...blah blah

I will suggest you read the NS RLMD guide thoroughly before you pick them up. There is no legal or contractual agreement in the context of your application because it is clearly stated that changes may be made at any time. My opinion.

Disclaimer
There is no deadline for applying to the NSNP. However, program criteria may change without notice and your application will be assessed according to the criteria in place at the time the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration receives your complete application.

I culled that out from the guide, i will suggest anyone planning to write and challenge their decision should seek the interpretation of the above statement first of all.
