I got my test date a year after they started processing my application...you have quite the ways to go yet. I wouldn't even look for the test until next spring. I took it upon myself to look over the book every month and then the last few weeks right before the test (when I got notice) I studied...

Best App to Study and Practice for Citizenship Test

I couldn't find an app that I really enjoyed. However if you can load a website I really liked these ones; http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/ , http://canada-citizenship-test.aws.af.cm/, http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

    citizenship ... payment receipt

Leave Client ID empty, you will receive one after your application is received. As for your actual receipt..did you get a digital copy in your email that looks the same or different? I recall mine had two parts but that was with the old fees/system so I hope somebody who has applied more...

what happens when application is returned

They already have a case opened for you in their system, which will include that paperwork is missing. They have date you signed/everything you wrote already entered into the system. Not sending back the same application probably will raise a flag and an RQ. I wouldn't go through the...

Just complete missing paperwork and resubmit same application. Don't start a new one.

My ATIP shows that the decision for my test/citizenship was made in Dec 2013, and that they decided two-three months before my citizenship test when it would be..its just very delayed..I didn't get test until June so took them a long time.

I received my ATIP ..which I thought would be funny if it happened after getting citizenship and it did :) I can't deceiver all of the info. but wanted to say it took exactly a month to get it (email,) and also I notice in it that the 'update dates' are sometimes postdated for the 25th of this...

Took the oath today - what an amazing experience and something to be soo proud of! There was 75 (they had scheduled for 80) of us there from over 20+ countries. Took about 1hr 45mins from start to finish (from checking us in to taking photos with judge after.) Lots of people didn't sign the...

I did a lot of the online tests (every day I did one for a few months straight) and reading/highlighting the book. What also helped me a lot was making flash cards (and using a digital app that does the same to ipad) and used both methods of answering the question, and then flipping over and...

My letter just took exactly a week to get to me and I live in the Okanagan, so it should have only taken a few days to receive but didn't. Just wanted to state this so others know it can take longer to get it..but it was the best piece of mail I've ever gotten :D. Letter sent 23rd, ecas...

Thanks everyone! Very excited for this. Can't wait to see where my location is, seeing nothing is posted yet that far in advance for citizenship ceremony locations :) Question for those who have taken the oath: Is photography (non-flash is okay) allowed during the ceremony or does it have to...

So in general, do you get the letter in the mail before status is updated online or the other way around? I keep on checking both every day ;)

    Test Preparation....

What I did was get a notebook and write down notes as I read through it..then I just used that as a study guide. Write down important people/dates/events. Also make sure to read the sidenotes/foot notes (smaller writing) on the pages that go with photos, etc. Best of luck!
