Does anybody know normally how long the visa is good for? I remember when I got my PR some years ago it used to be for 6 months to enter Canada and get it stamped. Is that the case with spousal PR too?

I hear you... It is sad that there is no acknowledgement of any sort from CIC which leaves everyone clueless - Oh well! Good to know about the 30 day rule and the visa cancellation. My wife is waiting for her PP too... Let's hope all goes well for everyone. Cheers.

You are not kidding right? :-) I think it has been 7 business days since your ecas said DM on your application. I doubt that they will courier or mail out a passport on the same day it said DM. Who knows what the process is... but if I were you I would allow some more time for the PP to arrive...
