final update : my wife landed last night. the immigration ppl didnt ask her any questions. she gave a big list of jewels that she will bring in later, and they happily entered those in the system and gave her a letter permitting her to bring jewels later on without customs.

hi you mean you got sponsorship approval on 17th may ? cos sponsorship approval date and the date when ND receives your files are not the same date. it takes them approx 15-25 days for ND to receive ur file after sponsorship approval.

thanks. btw they are sending it in speed post. last time when they send docs in normal post it took 3 days now it took 5 days in "speed post" :)

my wife received her pp with visa and COPR just now. it was stamped on june 1. but ecas updated on monday morning 10 am india time. hey send us all our photos and wedding related proof.

i am no expert, but afaik they will open your file 30 days from the date on the PPR letter or 30 days from they date they received ur passport. then prelim(or eligibility) will happen this is usually 5 days if it is straightforward. then your file will become INPROCESS then another few days...

hi thanks. same for me. this ecas and cic are so unpredictable. i tot they update ecas on tuesdays, but all most of my updates happend on a sat and sun :) u got DM last week but all our address changes today. it will be so much better if they say DM - Approved.

yep same for me. when i loging with my wife's fine number it is showing current address as my address here in canada and mailing address as her address in india. i still cant feel relieved. and i wont be till i see the visa and cOPR :D

u mean when you login with UCI of the sponsor, you see both ?

well is it a passport request or is it saying something like "In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible" "Please note that a request for your passport(s) at this time is not a guarantee of visa issuance...

this is my experience/understanding. unless they ask more proof for the relationship it is 1 month. my passport reached them on feb 21 and my app became in process on march 21.
