    Your work permit has the old family's name on it, that permit is for old family only. You will not be able to leave Canada without a new work permit that is multiple entry. Also, you don't need to explain to Vegreville why you left old family . Also, you do not have new work permit and LMO yet...

    I heard from a live-in caregiver friend today that the process to become a PR after 2 years of full time employment will soon be based on the total amount of hours worked and not 24 months? Does anyone know about this and if so, what the total amount of hours required is?

    You should check job sites in Canada...such as http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/ also monster.ca and workopolis.ca I think it may be very complicated to get a job offer for the 2 of you through the same employer as you have 2 very different work areas.Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in your search.
