How many months can one earn the 3900 hours?

Can a Live In Caregiver who has 1000 hours left to complete out of 3900 in the program leave Canada for about 1 year and come back and complete those hours (with valid employee who allows this)?

Anyone know if I put as self employed? I am not sure how to do this! thx

Your work permit has the old family's name on it, that permit is for old family only. You will not be able to leave Canada without a new work permit that is multiple entry. Also, you don't need to explain to Vegreville why you left old family . Also, you do not have new work permit and LMO yet...

I heard from a live-in caregiver friend today that the process to become a PR after 2 years of full time employment will soon be based on the total amount of hours worked and not 24 months? Does anyone know about this and if so, what the total amount of hours required is?

My live-in caregiver has a Canadian work visa for 36 months. We want to take her to the USA with us ( Disney Land) and will apply for a USA tourist visa for her. Can she get back into Canada ok when we re-enter from the USA?

Just as an update, NO you do not need a health card. My nanny got the vaccine no problem yesterday. She just said she had a work visa and no health card and Ontario Public Health said no problem as she is working with children. Not sure if other provinces will do the same, but I suspect they...

My nanny has a work visa but has not been here the 3 months yet to apply for OHIP. The vaccines clinics are starting to roll the H1N1 shots out Monday the 26th, can she get it for free too??

Sorry for all the questions, the ministry is on strike so I can't get any info there. So if she get's an International license, the International Auto Association says she can purchase it for a 1 year term. Does it become void after 3 months in Ontario and then she has to apply for an Ontario...

You should check job sites in Canada...such as http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/ also monster.ca and workopolis.ca I think it may be very complicated to get a job offer for the 2 of you through the same employer as you have 2 very different work areas.Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Bring to the interview a copy of the work contract, your school diplomas, work references and so on. Once you pass the interview, they may direct you to schedule your medical examination. Somewhere on this site, there is an area with practice questions so you can prepare.
