    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

I just took the oath and am officially a proud citizen of Canada! To answer the question, as yyzhuang said, there appears to be no restriction on people coming to the ceremony. My partner was not asked for any ID and others brought multiple people. On that note, thanks to everyone in the forum...

    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

Hey thecoolguysam, I was actually surprised to see that there is nothing in the invite about friends/family...or at least not that I have seen. The online listing for this morning's oath says it is open to the public but I have no idea how many people they allow each person to bring in. I'll try...

    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

Thanks! I think that Vancouver is also starting to use the Decision Made to indicate the oath letter is on its way. Other offices have been switching people's E-CAS to Decision Made for a while, so it just seems like Vancouver has been a bit slow to adopt the new changes. Hopefully you will...

    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

Yesterday I finally received my oath invitation for July 24, 2015 which is exactly 4 months from my test date! As I said, my E-CAS changed from In Process to Decision Made on June 28 but it does not have any additional lines saying they sent the invite. The letter was dated July 6.

    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

To take this a step further, you can use the function TODAY() in order to automatically update you "Days from Test until" column. So it would be something like =TODAY() - $C21. That way you wont need to manually update the sheet everyday! Thanks for putting this together Sam!

    October 2014 Citizenship Applications

I am curious to see if this helps, but you are still well within the timeline for receiving your oath. I took my test in March and have not heard anything yet and I know there are others who have taken the test before me that have not received an oath invite. I am not sure what your local office...

    Vancouver Oath Timeline after Test/Interview

This is still considered normal. I took my test on March 24th and haven't heard anything. They said during my test/interview that it could be anywhere between 2 month and 5 months to receive the oath.

    October 2014 Citizenship Applications

While I understand your frustrations, you are still well within the 1-year time frame that you quoted as the oath follows fairly soon after completing the test. Also, there have been significant improvements in the speed of the application process, and while it is still a long one compared to...

    Vancouver Applicants

I took my exam on March 24th and my pamphlet says 2-3 months. I do remember the agent who administered the test said 3-5 months and the agent who interviewed me said 2-4 months. Basically, it seems like those who took their tests in mid march are receiving oath invites, which would put the wait...

    October 2014 Citizenship Applications

My local office is Vancouver. Interestingly, I received an ATIP report yesterday that was generated on January 27th and it indicated that they had not started processing large portions of my application...so it seems like they did a lot of work over the last month.

Applicants on new routine (App no. C000XXXXX and email AOR)

Hi all, I logged into E-Cas this morning to find that it has updated to say:"We sent you a notice on February 25, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 24, 2015 at 8:03 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have...

Hey Subzero, I share the same transfer date as you. My understanding is that under the new system, Sydney does more of the preliminary checks of the file and then sends it to the local office for the final checks (i.e. your RCMP record) and sending out of the test invite. Previously, I think...

I am pretty sure the only people who are able to see the transfer in E-Cas are those that have received an E-mail AOR which and have application numbers in the format C0000XXXXX. This seems to be the new way which CIC is communicating with applicants. My E-Cas shows a fourth line which says...
