    Allo Nath, My husband took 2-ways ticket with Air France. It was 2 bags 23 kg to come here in june, and when he went back to lebanon last week, it was 1 bag allowed (and 75$ for the second one!)

    He arrived at the embassy at 7:30 am and they said 'come back tomorrow at 3:30 pm to take it back'. My husband kindly asked the woman to get it the same day cause he has to go back to Lebanon. She said 'ok, come back this afternoon at 3:30 pm'. And his passport was ready!

    My husband went to the embassy this morning and he got his permanent residency the same day! wououou! :) He said that there were a lot of people waiting, so it's good to arrive very early in the morning. Good day to all!

    I notice that they updated the e-cas. Its written: 'We started processing your application on November 18, 2011'. And we got the email for PPR on Nov. 20... It took them only 3 days to review the documents and take a decision. So the embassy can keep a file for over 8-9-10 months or even a year...

    We thought about it and my husband will go to Damascus to get the visa. In the same time, he will see his family and friends for a couple of days.

    Thank you all! I really wish that all of you get his visa soon! Especially the ones who are waiting for almost a year and even more... It is a great present for us as our 1st wedding anniversary is on nov.23! :)

    Im wondering about the same thing since my husband is here in Canada now. Maybe you should call Immigration Canada and ask them about it. Also, How can you just crossed the border between Canada and USA for landing? you dont need a visa to enter USA?
