Hello,
I've been researching online for about 6 months about life in Canada and although I have many question about that, so far I see it as a a very good choice for my family and I and I would like your input on how to go about moving there, what are good province options to move to, your opinion on whether we should or not.. I don't know, I have so many questions that I don't even know where to start.
After reading other topics in these forums, here is a list of information I think I would be asked on here in order to get some answers.
- We are from Dominican Republic.
- our daughter is 9 months old, wife is 23, I am 34 years old.
- my wife hasn't graduated from the university yet.
- I graduated as a computer engineer.
- we have never travelled to other countries. (We're thinking on applying for a US tourist Visa to visit relatives next year).
- Neither of us has any legal issues or criminal records.
- the reason we're thinking of moving is because we're both looking for a better life for our daughter, good education, culture, values, safety and of course, we both also want something better for the both of us, specially in the financial area. As many people want to make a better living, so do we.
Since I don't have any contact with any Canadians, I only know about the good things I've read online in terms of work availability, education, rent, social security and safety, etc. I have hardly read anything negative about Canada, except the weather maybe?
Where to live? I don't know
Where to work? I don't know
Is it worth the change? I think so
Is what people online say about Canada true? I'd like to thinks so but I don't know.
I think that's all that comes to mind right now. I will greatly appreciate any information or inputs I can be provided with.
Regards,
