Sir,i applied for the work permit on june 11 and then i went to india.and now when i came back to canada ,they said you left your status and you can't stay in canada till you will get your work permit and they wrote something on my passport and kick me out from canada.am very fortunate that i have us visa and i came to us.so what are the options for me now?

What do you mean when you say you applied for a work permit? Did you apply for a new work permit? (If so, what kind?) Did you apply for a work permit extension? What was your status in Canada before you left for India? Were you on a work permit?

YeS it was valid for four more days.immigration officer said,you lost your status and till the time you are not getting your work permit ,you are not allowed to be in canada
if you graduate,your study permit allows you only 3 months to stay in Canada. after these 3 months you have to change your status or leave even if your study permit is still valid. it was issued for the purpose of being a student. so when you graduate it is not valid any more and they only give you a chance of staying 3 months after graduation to change your status.
So now you have to wait for the post graduate work permit to make your stay legal.
