Hello!
My husband completed 2 years of study in Canada and had applied for work permit. We received a work permit for only a year. So we went for a lawyer and understood that we applied for work permit with only the 2nd year of study and did not submit first year of study details. So we reapplied to work permit and received the reply saying that the work permit can't be extended and is only valid for a year. Can anyone help me with this situation. How should we deal with it and whom should we contact. Please help me with this situation. Thank you so much!

There is no way this can happen if you have done 2 years. Its a proper DLI correct? If its all correct then change the lawyer, how the hell did he blew it!

Did you include your official transcript? The transcript alone would show the full details of both year.

Pgwp cannot be extended. That's the rule

I suspect he would have completed two separate one year programs but applied for the PGWP with only one of them
Can a lawyer file for a plea to extend? Worth trying
