Hi all,
I have been offered a postdoc at the McMaster University.
While applying online I came across two types of work permits which could be relevant to me.
1. Work permit for academics, researchers, trainee
2. Work permit with LMIA exemption

Kindly guide me which one is the right one.

Thanks.

Postdocs are work permit with LMIA exemption. You need the Offer of Employment number (starts with A, then some digits) from employer before you caan apply for work permit

Hello,

I hope you can help as you went trhough the process already.
I am an italian citizien and received a postdoc employment letter from McMaster adn waiting for LMIA. In the government website resulted that I need a Foreign Worker - International Mobility Program (eTA required). Is that possible? What did you do in the end? Did you get the visa at the airport? What about biometrics?

Sorry for all these questions, it is really confusing!

Thanks a lot for your time and help,
Luca
