I have a query, actually, my work permit is expiring on October 30, 2021 and was about to apply for work permit extension, however since my passport was expiring in 6 months my lawyer asked me to go for passport renewal before applying for work permit renewal. But now my passports are struck with Indian Consulate and looks like it wont come before my work permit expiry. If I am working I should stop working once my work permit expires and wait until my passport renewal completion to extend the work permit and will be out of status. However, I am not working now and planning to wait until the passport renewal to extend the work permit. Is there any problem or anyone has any experience similar to this or anyone has any suggestion to overcome this?
Once of my friend is also in same situation, but he has applied for PR in CEC and his biometrics is pending this month end and looks like he would miss his due date. Any suggestions for overcoming this situation?
