Sorry I do not know the PCC. Is it Police clearance? If so, yes it is required but you can only attached it once they replied to you and asking you to submit. So it is better to do it upfront but it should be within 3 months before application. Me and my husband get police clearance upfront but our 1st work permit application was rejected. Thus, the police clearance is now expired and need to renew again for our 2nd application.

Thank you for the information and sorry to hear about rejection of your first work permit. What reason they gave you for the rejection?

My husband will be transfer from singapore to montreal site. Thus, he is under International mobility program. Accdg to CIC website, he should be exempted in LMIA. So we applied work permit and OWP for me last Aug 2014. Then it was rejected last 05 Oct 2014 stating that it needs LMIA. So we are very frustrated and also the HR as they expected us to be there by Nov. The HR applied for LMIA and it was approved last 05 Dec 2014. We re-applied again for work permit last 16 Dec but up to now still no response..

The Canada is now becoming stricter for foreign workers but not on FSW PR application. For me I think, they should restrict those PR application and not the foreign worker category since we have a high chance of survival because we have jobs available in our field. The FSW still a foreigner and there are no guarantee they will succeed immediately once they land there and also they can get benefits immediately unlike in foreign worker. Well its just my opinion..

I am totally agree with you. They should either stop temporary foreign worker program completely or they should at least issue visas to genuine applicants. You never know what happen to application even though we submit everything what is suppose to go with application. The most stupid reason is country ties. I am going to apply for the first time but already scared what I am hearing around from people like you. LMIA may take upto 6 months. Mine is still in processing and it has been already 19 weeks now:(

Hope for the best. Keep on updating. Are you applying this time from India?

Hiii guys most of wp applications are being refused due to readymade objections.. Let s see what happens

Yes even with a positive LMIA you can be rejected for a work permit. You have to meet the entry requirements (medical and police clearance) and you have to convince the officer that you will 1. leave Canada at the end of your work permit and 2. that you are indeed qualified for the job.

thats right.. and even at the port of entry-airport immigration they still have the discretion upon interview to say NO or YES for entry.

Tnx for the advise. We felt very happy when we received the lmia. We thought its a sure way to get there. We feel a bit scared now after all those negative results recently. :(

Hi friends,

I need your help immediate. I paid some money to broker (Agent) for job in Canada. Money paid on end of August-2014. He explained the procedure of TWP Canada ( First advertisement, 2nd LMO application, 3rd positive or negative LMO, 4th Visa application ). Then he also mentioned this process can take maximum 6 months and said he transferred the money to Canada what he got from me.

From September until now in between this time he said my LMO was applied and in process ( I haven't note down the date he mentioned around oct. 2014).

Starting from October almost 4 months whenever I call him he says no update and LMO in progress. He says he want to speak to the employer in Canada but he not giving any update on this process.

How to check LMO was really applied and in process? Any proof shows application for LMO?

Please help me on this issue!!!

Thanks
