congrats yheyel!!! andaming naapprove dis week ah,,, hoping na sumunod na ung samin,,, 4 kami kasi nag apply for work permit with same employer! hoping and praying that this week magkamagandang balita na tayo,,, God is good all the time... ;D

I have got positive lmo and lawyers are making papers for me.
There are saying to apply without police certificate.
Can anyone confirm if embassy process without pcc or I make it at my end to save time.

Police clearance is a must, that proves to the VO that you are not a threat to Canada when you enter their country. In some Visa offices, they will request for your police clearance after you lodged all your visa requirements.You try find on the checklist which visa office you will lodge your application.

I have obtained my contract & LMO on 06-May-2012 and I have submitted my complete work permit application, including original passport, to the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi on 22-May-2012 and until now there is no feedback.

On their website it is written that the process may take 1-6 months??!!! sooooo long to wait for 6 months? Do they really need 6 months to process a work permit application??!!

Why some one can take it after 1 month and another one can wait up to 6 month?!

Do you have any idea about how long it 'usually' take in average to process a work permit application?

Is it possible to follow-up the status of my work permit application with the Canadian Embassy, either by phone or by emails? I understood from the posts here that sending emails will not help because the canadian embassy will not respond to any email asking about the status of the application as long as the process time did not exceed 6 months?! Is this true?

If they need some more document they will notify you
Every one who lodged there apps are in the same sutuvation

but lastly when i think i forget to sing and date on back of two photograph does it make any issue pliz advice.

Dont worry
The embassy say only to sign on application and to write name and addres on the draft did not mentioned to sign on the photos
Photos must b less than six months ols thats it with head shot specification

I understand from the website of the Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi that they will conduct a background check and a security check, if required, which may delay the process, does any one know what is the difference between background check and security check? and the condition 'if required' depends on what?

If the VO feels complicated he call for interveiw otherwise attach the police clearence certificate even though they told MAY needed just to minimiz d risk and dealy

I have already submitted original police clearance certiicate from UAE & my country of origin along with my work permit application package.
I am just stressed and loosing my patience because it is already more than 6 weeks since I have submitted my application and I have not got any notificatin or any thing from the embassy (maybe it is good and maybe it is bad??!!)
