Hi there,

I will be applying for an LMIA-exempt work permit letter and I noticed a list of documents that IRCC needs for this work permit. I have already asked my employer to provide me: employment contract and offer of employment number. I had questions regarding these and some other documents that IRCC requires:

Employer to provide:
employment contract
- is this the employment offer that I received or is it going to be something else?

Employee to submit:
a letter from your current employer
- is this my employment letter or is it the employer contract (if they are not same things)?

a reference letter from past employers and proof of work experience from past employers - I only have reference letter/full proof of my canadian employers. One is for my previous employer whom i worked for a year. And the other one will be from my current one gor whom i’ve been working for over a year. Is it ok if i don’t have reference letters of past employers?

proof that you meet the requirements of the job (for example, the license or certification if your job is regulated) - I work as a marketing coordinator. Under my NOC, it requires a bachelors degree. So i can submit my masters degree and language results - CELPIP and TCF.

a resumé: is it ok that i show my foreign experience in my resume or should i skip that here as well? I want to only show the most relevant experience that I have done in Canada.

Some more questions:

- does obtaining LMIA-exempt documents from your employer change answers under "intended work in Canada" section of express entry?

- in my previous post graduate work permit applications i showed my foreign experience, is it ok if i skip it in this one? I can mention it in the form but i will not be providing documents for them. I also don’t plan on claiming points for this under express entry.

Please advise!!

No, it's different. Ask your HR.

Yes, should be good.

Absolutely.

Ah thank you ! There is a section "intended work in Canada" section in express entry and i am confused about what to put. The first question is that "do you have an offer letter in Canada". I have been told that I should answer no to that because apparently it only concerns the LMIA offer letters. However, there are some new changes to express entry anout high paying jobs etc. Although i don’t belong to high paying nocs nor do i need more points, should i answer yes to offer letter here or say no? I also can’t seem to find any IRCC related info on this
