I'm an Oil Engineer going for Intra Company transfer , I've Applied for Open Work Permit at Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi....Here is my time line for every one.

Passport & Docs sent on 20 December 2011
Bank draft debited on 2 February 2012

and till Now No news, i hope they get back soon...

July 01, 2011- submitted docs
July 29 2011-AOR
April 29, 2012- got mail from embassy ( med request and request for new NBI and Police clearance)
May 21, 2012- medical done
May 30, 2012- delivered to london
June 07, 2012- NBI and police clearance sent to embassy
June 08, 2012- delivered signed by smf im

I recieved a response from them after a month I sent my application....

I sent my additional documents thru courrier...bec. They included in the letter that I cannot submit it personally...

According to the clinic where I had my medical, the embassy will received the reslt after 4 weeks.....it already for weeks....

Am applying with job offer letter and positive LMO
Earlyer was thinking to apply open work permit i give up because i dont have funds to show
As am checking with the embassy web site it shows TWP application takes bettwen 1-6 monts do the embassy officers pick the application in random or first come first policy??
And the embassy in india says only one month for process for me it make sence to apply here i can work un till i get the papers done here it worth i belive

i'm Not sure wats their policy, but if i were you, for sure i will apply at India it's faster than Abu Dhabi, but for me i have no choice i have to apply at UAE.

nagsubmit ako ng passport last june 7 intay k n lang bumalik din skn nagkaprblema pala ako s email add nagsent sila skn nun may p eh ala k natangap kaya gnwa k nagemail n ako s kanila kc delikado n situation k dahl pinapakansel n ng employer k yun visa k d2 god is good nakatangap ako ng mesage n matagal n daw nila antay PP sana nga dumating n kc ipapakulong daw ako kapag d k naisuli agad s employer ang PP

its good to hear na pp request kana din..ako nung june 4 lang nag email skin ung embassy..submit ko ung skin nung June 5 natangap nila nung june 6..waiting din ako sa passport ko..pray natin na mabalik agad stin ksama na ung visa nten sa passport..God is good..balitaan tyo pag nakuha na ung passport nten..

He told to get the police clearence certificate aswell just to minimiz the risk at embassy
Possibly time consuming am goin to get it done by tomorrow
Hopefully this week ill b submiting the apps

Ve went to dubai police HQ for the certificate i get in hand by thursday
A quick question do i need to provide the place where i lived before 6 years
Coz i worryed about saudi pcc it really hard to get that even saudi embassy do not provide that service and For indian pcc processing time is 40-45 days
Do u think i can send my apps with the certificate of dubai and in other hand i apply for indian pcc ???? Does it make sence? Even the canadian embassy request for it it wont be too loong to provide that...
Please advice me

Hi Karan,

To be Honest i have NO idea if it's necessary to provide the Place where u lived before 6 years, I'm Not expert, also to apply in India i guess you can't apply there as long as you are at Dubai, send an inquire to the embassy regrading this, double check with them, sorry i can't help you in this, Maybe other members have good experiences in this matter.
