Work permit application inland submitted Jan/Feb 2022 timeline

I don’t think it works that way, maybe our applications just need further research or are someway more complex than the average, but who knows.
Hey also I am kind of confused, I saw in another thread that you went to the border on August 14th to flagpole and got your permit… I am just curious about why you were waiting for your online application to be approved if you already had your permit

Got my decision made letter today.
Your application to stay in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. Your permit has been mailed to you at the address you gave us when you applied. If you have not received your document within six weeks from the date of this letter, contact us by completing this Web form.
It then lists the type of permit (WP-EXT) and the ETA they attached to it.
To be honest I wasn't happy with this process - it's kind of stupid. I reckon once a province provides a Work Permit Support Letter, they should provide a seamless experience of providing the work permit itself at the same time and simply sharing the data with IRCC. For a business to potentially wait nearly a year for a skilled worker is a joke - I'm just lucky I was inland on a valid permit.

Yes, it gives the date of submission and the current status
Well it didnt gave me exactly a current “status”, it is more like:
-Your eligibility has not started yet
-You don’t need an interview
-you don’t need to provide your fingerprints
Etc
basically all the info/steps that I can see on my online account
Under background check it shows "not applicable", I guess it is for my citizenship and type of application, but when it is applicable I do believe it is the last step before final decision

Hey, curious about this one. Do you still have a valid status after the refusal? I thought they need applicants to leave immediately if refused since it is deemed to be out of status? Unless we have TRV prior to the refusal
Got my work permit in the mail today. So fast!
To my surprise they didn't restrict me in terms of forcing me to live in city where I work. They restricted it to the province in general - so I could move around where I want in the territory and work remotely!

- GU - Eligibility Review: 30 August, 2022
- GU - Decision Made: 31 August, 2022
- Approval Letter: 1 September, 2022
- Received Work Permit From CPC-Edmonton: 6 September, 2022

211 days and still nothing.
I just hang up with IRCC, this is the first time I get to talk with a real person. The lady told me that she sent a notification/reminder to the officer about my application exceeding the normal processing time.
Hopefully it will help.
